Fantastic 3 day stay

Everything.😃 Stayed here before many years ago and have visited for meals when in the area. It has been modernised/decorated and extended since I was last here. Our room was not in the main building,but just 100yds away. The full english breakfast was great and delivered very quickly. There are also veggie options plus cereals,fruit juices etc. The menu is varied and all the food is great,the portions are very large!! I would highly recommend this hotel.

As always lovely

Room was well suited to having 2 dogs and very clean. Breakfast was lovely and everyone so helpful and kind. We did stayed for dinner in the hotel and yes the bar area was busy which is great to see we where in the restaurant which suited it a lot better

The staff are all excellent, very helpful and go out of their way to make your stay the best that can be. The food is exceptional and the portions are absolutely massive for dinner and breakfast. If I was to stay here for 2 weeks I would put on 3 stone. (Joke) Serious though you will not get better food anywhere like this. The bar area's are fantastic and both with open fires and it is a bonus for folk who have a pet with them. All in all we had a great stay with the best staff you could ask for.

The room was ok but the bathroom was a bit too small as when you go to brush your teeth it is difficult to bend as the sink has a glass shelf that you hit your head on it, also your backside hits the wall, roughly about 3ft, one meter, also the shower is very tight to turn in and shower yourself. Other than that all was ok in the room. Comfy bed and real quality pillows and duvet. One other thing was the pints, £5.50 for Fosters was a bit OTT for me.

My new favourite stay in Keswick!

Fantastic setup, spacious quiet lounge on first floor, fireplaces, Christmas decorations, great staff, good food, good variety of drinks. Lots of space to walk your dog in front and side of the hotel.

Fantastic 3 night stay at the Coledale Inn . Very comfortable/cosy hotel , with very warm welcoming staff.

The room was very comfortable in size and furniture. It was very clean. It had a good view of the garden . My parents said they were greeted lovely by staff and made to feel very welcome and comfortable at the hotel. They had a fantastic stay at the hotel , for 3 nights (it was my mam’s 70th).

Lovely comfortable stay with dogs.

Great location. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was nice, even the dogs got a sausage each. Room was clean and comfortable. The inn was decorated for Xmas and it had a lovely cosy atmosphere.

Parking is scarse. Other patrons just visiting for a drink or a meal all use the same carpark which if busy means you have to park elsewhere. Ideally hotel users should have a dedicated parking area.

2nd stay

This was my second stay at the coledale inn. As was the case last time the staff were very friendly and attentive. I had a swift check in, and most of my interaction with them was at breakfast. Breakfast was great, there is a good choice and the food quality sets you up well for the day. The staff were very efficient, they can't do enough for you. Theres very little wait between order and food and drinks arriving at the table. The room was warm spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. I had commented last time about shower pressure being on the low side, I definitely didn't have that issue this time. The shower was fantastic and really refreshing pressure. The views from the hotel are impressive! Very happy with the stay and looking forward to coming back again in the future.

Couple of things that could be better in the bathroom there was a large window that looks onto the shower, it is patterned but still could do with a bit of privacy with a blind or covering of some sort. I heard dogs barking from rooms around and one night I could hear one of the next door room occupants snoring very loud - not sure what the hotel could do about this but it impacted my nights sleep a bit.

Charming traditional hotel and bar we liked the friendly warm inviting atmosphere Our room was spacious and quiet it felt relaxed despite the main building being busy for our evening meal. The views are beautiful, breakfast was delicious and excellent portions All of the staff are so approachable and kind nothing was too much trouble! We were especially grateful to a lady called Pam who at a special request for a fussy eater made the best porridge my son said he had ever had! This made our stay so much easier and happy!

Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend the porridge. Very tasty and hot. Location excellent with plenty of walks in the surrounding area. Food amazing with a good choice and plenty of it.

It was only just adequate in my opinion

Food was good

Cramped bedroom and extremely cramped bathroom. Corridor leading to bedroom had a step which was a hazard. No clear marking on the dark floor in a poorly lit corridor to warn you of this . There was a sign on the wall - mind the step - which I didn’t see as I had to concentrate on where I was walking.

Lovely little stay

Staff were very welcoming and friendly, the second night we stayed we had a much nicer room for less money, we had a lovely window seat for breakfast and very easy check in and out. The location was great for the hikes we had planned
