First class stay and reasonably priced.

The decor was beautiful throughout The Ruddings. The room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was cosy yet elegant and the food was delicious 😋. Breakfast was first class and the staff very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning.

Nothing. If I was to be extremely picky I would have perhaps have liked to see pastries at breakfast. The fruit salad and choice of menu was superb however.

Lovely stay

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble at all for them. The food was excellent, the service was 1st class and the location was also perfect for our few days away in the Lakes. The hotel was also dog friendly so we were able to enjoy our evenings in the restaurant and relax in lounge with our dogs.

The room was pleasant - maybe a little bland. The surroundings were clean and considered but it felt a little as though the interior designer couldn't make up their mind which trend to follow.

The blonde pony tailed person should be retrained to be a bit more friendly. I thought she had spoken a bit harshly to me and then the next lady said "I beg your pardon!" Then I knew it wasn't just me. I am Scottish I have travelled the World - I know how to talk to be understood, but was made to feel like I was less than. Also every other stay I have had this holiday had interior pics. This only has a thru the window shot because of a lack of inspo.

A great find, we would stay again.

A welcoming place, warm and cosy, with the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. The room was immaculate, (cleaning staff don’t ever get enough credit in my opinion) and had everything we needed. We had dinner in the restaurant and both enjoyed our meal. The staff were friendly and helpful, all in all, no complaints here.

A fabulous, dog friendly stay. We will 100% be back.

The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. The dog cleaning area was fab. We loved that our dog could come to the dining area with us and that he got a doggy sausage for breakfast. The location was great, views were lovely from the dining area. The food OMG. Food was fantastic. The delux room was spacious and clean.

Dogs are welcome in the hotel and to be honest I don’t really like the fact that they’re allowed in the dining room. But I appreciate to some people that this something they want. I knew when I booked for this was the case.

A welcoming, comfortable stay.

This was our second time at The Ruddings - we visited last year and knew we had to return. The hotel was as fantastic as we remembered! From the welcome received from all staff, to the gorgeous food, it was such a joyous stay. The interior design, comfort and care shown to your stay is second to none. We will definitely return!

The decor and comfort of the room was fantastic, also the in room amenities and showering products were lovely. I have since sourced them locally and brought some home!!

The poo bags that were left outside at the bag door, there was a few of them and were there the entire duration of our stay. I understand being there temporarily but not all the time. Not exactly welcoming!
