Staff friendly,welcoming and effecient. Lovely breakfast, and service.

Cup in room was dirty, bathroom door only closed with lock when inside, so started banging during night as window open.Extra bed for my daughter was rock hard, with wood frame/ slats that you could feel, not comfortable for sleeping ( she stayed in room next door with our friend) Some sort of generator/ motor below our window that kept going on and off all night.

The staff were super friendly, very helpful and accomodating too. The evening meal was enjoyable and the atmosphere in the dining area made it a pleasant experience.For those reasons we would definitely come back if we were in the vicinity

The breakfast was plentiful and well cooked with the exception of the scrambled eggs which were swimming in oil and not palatable. Another point at breakfast time which didn't make it relaxing was staff walking through the dining area with linen, cleaning materials etc. is there not another route? It was probably an issue with Booking.com and us making a last minute booking but we were expecting a standard double room with a shower &/or bath and got a twin room - slightly disappointing but not something that would affect us coming back again. We weren't too bothered, but overall the hotel was very tired and where things had been replaced or refitted it wasn't tidied up by filling in holes and touching up with paint. Our last point: the hotel was difficult to locate using our SATNAV - perhaps directions on the website would be helpful?
