Beautiful location but poor nights sleep

Very friendly welcome. Busy pub with a good atmosphere. Excellent location. The room was clean and spacious

The room was accessed from the outside with a set of metal stairs which were very slippery as it was raining. At check in the gentleman asked if we wanted a double or twin. We asked for a Double and he gave us a Twin. We went back to Reception to ask to swap but no one was available so we had no choice but to accept the Twin The room was too hot, the heating was on all night and we couldn't find a way to turn it off ( we did open a window but as it was a cold night there was then a draught). The fan in the bathroom didn't turn off for over an hour after the bathroom light was turned off The bin wagon then turned up at 6am and as the bins are stored under the rooms; this was very noisy. We got up and gave in and left There was no one available when we left the next morning to raise these issues with. Overall a very poor nights sleep

A necessary stay near the Nuffield Hospital.

The great 'pub' atmosphere and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

The difficulty with parking a little distance away in a 'Ringo' controlled carpark when the app never works and required an early morning hike to feed the meter at 8 am to avoid a fine. Not the fault of the hotel but where their web site describes the parking they could include a warning that it is Ringo and that it would be worth getting the app in advance or at least bring plenty of coins.

Great value stay in character pub.

Beautiful old coaching inn in the heart of Topsham, full of atmosphere. Courtyard room was comfortable and well equipped. Excellent breakfast included in our good value stay. We also enjoyed an evening meal.

Great location, ten minutes walk from train station.Overall good experience for the money.

Location was great. Actual building was built in 16 century, lots of character. Staff very accommodating considering we booked at 21:45 due to an emergency evacuation. Excellent WiFi coverage. Good range of alcoholic drinks at the bar . Room was clean and warm. Coffee and tea facilities was good. Good water pressure.

Bed and head board wasn’t very comfortable . Floor uneven, and the step down to enter bathroom could have easily been an issue for elderly people. TV location was poor. No car park .

Excellent in every way.

Everything went well, it was all brilliant! Room was spacious and very comfortable. The outside area was lovely and the bar and restaurants were beautifully decorated for Christmas and very cosy. The food was tasty and the staff were friendly and efficient. The perfect start to our New Year adventure.

Excellent- made special by the attitude of staff, good food, quality wine.

Lovely friendly staff who went above and beyond. We had an issue with my friend not having booked a room and this was sorted with minimum fuss. Our friends had just got married and a card and bottle of fizz arrived at the table for them! Very lovely

My mother who was staying overnight at the globe had the worst night sleep ever.

The staff were lovely, and supper was good.

The smell of damp and drains was horrendous in the room. The Dirty headboard kept falling on my head Bins were being wheeled loudly past my bedroom door at 6am when the rubbish collection took place The person upstairs was very noisy, they have wooden floors in the rooms above! The rooms need to be up dated

The 'Tops' in Topsham

Staff food especially breakfast, great choice and fantastic coffee yoghurt, salmon and scrambled eggs, sausages delicious, blazing log fire in the hearth, I will definately 100% be back here

Position in Topsham right on the high street

Our room in the annexe had not been properly looked after… one sink in the bathroom filled with water and didn’t drain and bathroom fan stayed on for hours. We discovered this late when we went to bed

Wonderful last minute night stop.

We checked in late...no problem, greeted by really friendly staff. Made to feel very welcome. Great value for money, ideal.location, so comfortable with added extras; tea, coffee, biscuits and a king sized bed.

Great location, but a couple of areas can be better

Wasn’t aware the rooms are in a open public courtyard, Rooms we’re ok and generally clean but noisy with drinkers sat literally aside your room til after 11pm . We would stay again as it was not that off putting but maybe better door insulation would hide outside noise better ? Can not rate food as never ate here but drinks great

Roller blind in the bathroom had lots of dead flies stuck to it , a clean of this area is needed . Some noise from drinking area outside and very thin walls , can hear rooms all around and upstairs talking

The location was perfect right in the centre of topsham. A lovely old charming pub with lots of atmosphere.Beautiful restaurant with good quality food.

Great stay at the Globe.

We really like the Globe and have stayed a few times before. Great position in the town.

We were in and outside, ground floor room which was a bit noisy from the people in the room about, not good sound insulation.

Amazing!!

This has been the best dog friendly place we have ever stayed in, on top of that the staff were so friendly and the food was amazing and great value for money. Will definitely be returning and would recommend this to anyone, especially with dogs

Comfortable, friendly and a great location all topped off with excellent beer!

As I was travelling with my wife and eldest son we booked the 2 bed apartment which was ideal and great value. Although there was no parking on site there was a carpark only a 4 minute walk away. We dined in the restaurant, something I'm happy to recommend! Our start the next day was early so we didn't have time to enjoy the breakfast! Staff were all very friendly.

Lovely large room but slightly noisy in the morning. Breakfast was wonderful,plenty of choice, and well cooked.

We love the location and historical charm of the property

We love Topsham and often stay in St.Austell accommodations across coastal England. We didn’t stay in the main building and our heating was very noisy 😬 The staff was amazing and comped our drinks . I can’t say enough good things about the service. Have previously and would stay again x

Perfect spot in topsham beautiful old building ! Arrived Midday sat and straight into the room

Nothing bad at all although ended cancelling evening meal on Sunday night as service extremely slow understandably very busy but waited over 40 minutes no sign of cutlery to table ! A Shame but didn’t dampen the weekend
