Perfect location for a stay in Sidmouth

Perfect location . Backed onto The Byres so easy to walk my dog . Also very close to my mother’s care home which was my reason for being in Sidmouth . Lovely walk into town and onto beach too . Very quiet but close to everything you would need .

Absolutely lovely couple nights spent here. The room was comfortable, breakfast was superb. Short walk into Sidmouth & Beach. Beautiful surroundings and loved Brian waking us up every morning, I’ll actually miss him. Great place, great character

Lovely stay

Absolutely lovely stay with very friendly and hospitable team. We had dinner also which was excellent and I recommend. We were in town for a function but now want to come back.

A wonderful hotel with wonderful staff

The room and hotel were great the staff were very friendly,there’s was plenty of parking also the location just outside the centre of the resort was ideal.

The only downside was the bar didn’t seem to be open after the evening meal but this is only a small criticism.

In a lovely setting a few steps from the town the hotel’s genteel persona and clients make this a very safe choice for Sidmouth . Good choice at breakfast with old fashioned etiquette and manners : lovely . Nice to see a hotel with a snug bar still .

Breakfast was excellent and served quickly with very attentive staff. Better parking than at most hotels in Sidmouth. Liked the parkland setting in the middle of town

No mention of Wi-Fi in the literature in the room but it actually worked fine when I stumbled on it .

We loved it. Good hotel in lovely grounds not far from the beach and centre.

The choice of breakfast was good and we thought the dinner in particular was excellent. The room was clean and was well laid out, we liked the fact there were a couple of armchairs next to the window.

The hotel met or exceeded our expectations.

The breakfast is excellent. Hot dishes are hot. Cooked very well indeed. Speedy friendly service. Same with dinner but we ate out as well. Otherwise too much food!!! The room ( 38) was fine with a good view over a delightful garden . Clearly a lift would be nice but we managed. Some wouldn't. The hotel seems to appeal to an older age group.

I would be hard put to find a fault. Parking good and handy to have so many charging points although to be fair, very few used whilst we were there. Nothing bad. I think I asked for coffee every morning and got tea once.! That is the sort of thing I could say if I was fussed about it.

We had a very relaxing time, revisited old memories, walking thro` the park which we used to use when we lived further along the coast. For all the reasons we have listed, we will use it again. This was our 59th wedding anniversary.
