A good stay.

The breakfast was excellent and the facilities fine. Ruth was very helpful and obliging.

For two people, it felt slightly cramped for the price. And I think the name "cottage" suggested to us something relatively detached and rural, rather than a basement flat in a tight corner. The chief problem was the parking: it was not easy to get in and out round a sharp corner, and I unfortunately damaged the car manoeuvring.

It was about a 1 hour stay..it needs soundproofing as we did not want to hear the family/dogs etc..

LOCATION

Advertised as a PRIVATE annex , however it has not been soundproofed at all and you can hear every word the family say to each other....No TV in room to drown this out. Washing machine for family must be against the wall as we could hear it working. We decided we could not stay so we booked a hotel and left within an hour.

Perfect for what we needed

Great location for us only 10 minute walk from my parents who were visiting. Easy access to the town, car parking space was fine, no concerns. Shower with heated floor was perfect! Breakfast area and having breakfast everyday was great and totally unexpected. Sleeping area was fine could benefit from a slightly bigger bed but that’s just personal preference. Great that we could be there at Christmas as lots of places were really expensive or were not letting people come for a few days at Christmas so this worked out perfectly.

Need’s a light in the alley way to the door of the property as it quite dark at night but that was it. Everything else was fine.

It was perfect for us. There was no tv in the room but the wifi was excellent and the room had a dab radio.

Everything was just perfect for our brief family visit.

Hanging rails were extremely high up but I understood why. Unfortunately, we are both short so couldn’t use but this wasn’t an issue as only a 1 night stay.

Very convenient for town and beach. Quiet neighbourhood. Comfortable bed, very clean and nicely decorated. For a small space, it was cleverly designed.

Fabulous beakfast selection. Comfy beds & a wonderful location for Sidmouth centre, beach, shops & restaurants. Real bonus with the parking space too.

The shower does leave the majority of the wet room floor soaked. There was a handy mop that can be used to dry it off. You can hear the family through the adjoining door but once you close the bedroom door the sound is very minimal.

Well equipped, comfortable with warm powerful shower. Tea and coffee making facilities and generous supplies for a continental breakfast

The annexe is within a families home and although we were not disturbed during unsociable hours, it’s a very noisy household and it feels like you are in their lounge with them. Felt we needed to be extra quiet too as we’re conscious of disturbing them.

Amazing Ensuite. Would def stay again!

I loved how attentively the room was decorated and supplied with all the necessities. I had not expected a fridge (but I always hope for one!!) Or even a milk frother! As a coffee snob I really appreciated the coffee machine - a real surprise, so nice to not be subjected to instant coffee. All hail the bathroom floor heating, good insulation of the windows/double doors from the outside. And also all of the breakfast bits waiting for us in the fridge.

We were woken up to a yelling child next door, so insulation between the room and the rest of the house would have been very nice.

Comfortable Bolt Hole - ideal for short stay!

Spotless comfortable room with parking in great location, just a few minutes walk from town and beach. Hosts provide a DIY breakfast which was excellent.

The annexe is ideal for short stay but we would have found it too compact for a longer break. Having read previous reviews we expected to hear some noise from the family home (the annexe is within the footprint of the host's house). This didn't bother us at all until Monday morning when we set our alarm for 8.30 am but were woken much earlier by the family getting ready for work and school.

Clean, great shower, good continental breakfast. Unlimited tea & coffee. Safe area for our dog to stretch outside. Ruth and Ben are lovely hosts and go the extra mile to help. Thank you so very much, Lesley, Paul & Audrey.

Erg gehorig, kamer grenst aan woonkamer eigenaren. Druk gezin, je hoort alles. Bij douchen loopt badkamer vol water. Armoedig entree, uitzicht op schutting met afvalemmers.
