Claude and Agnes's place provided a welcome oasis of hospitality, calm and tranquillity, following an epic drive up from the south-west of France at the end of our holiday.
In a wonderfully charming setting, they couldn't do enough for us.
Breakfast was a very pleasant experience, chilling with the fellow guests, very tasty and as much as you wanted.
Would definitely stay again if touring Brittany or travelling home.
A bientot.

Perfect, family friendly & very sociable
The stairway up to our bedroom was very steep and difficult for me as an 80 year old!

Beautiful house with a rich history. The nicest hosts we have ever met. Great welcone, restaurant recommendation, room and breakfast. We loved the conversations.

What a super place to stay. Incredible history. Wonderful host. Having breakfast around a large table with all the other guests was a lovely touch... we think the host should get the leaders of the world around the table and knock some sense into them!

Amazing characterful old building convenient for the ferry port in St Malo. Wonderful hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble - even reserved us a table for dinner in nearby Cancale (well worth a visit!)
Nothing.

Our 4th time spent with Agnes and Claude who have become friends over the years. Nothing is too much, whether reserving a table for dinner, or welcoming us with a cup of tea and biscuits, or wine, taken with them in their lovely garden.
Absolutely nothing!

We don't like the word perfect, but it was very good. The place in St Juan des Guerets, Agnès and Claude, the breakfast and our valuable personal conversations.
The beautifull room we stayed in. And we learned from Claude how to eat an egg with "soldiers".

We stayed here for one night as took the ferry from St. Malo the next morning, but would consider it as a base for a longer stay to explore the region. This is not your standard hotel stay. Instead, you will be stepping into a little bit of history and be given a real experience when you stay here. Agnes and Claude are wonderful hosts and the rooms are large, airy and marry history with modern amenities. The breakfast is wonderful and Cancale is but a short drive away for its restaurants in the evening.

The house is amazing, with lots of history. While in the countryside it's very convenient for St Malo and the ferry. The rooms and bathrooms were were clean and comfortable, and there were lovely gardens to relax in. The hosts were very helpful providing tea on arrival, and booking restaurants for us, and the breakfasts were very nice, with fresh fruit and breads.
The breakfasts are communal with guests around one table, and as I'm not at my most communicative first thing in the morning I would have preferred individual tables!

This is a beautiful family run B&B located in a picturesque area in Bretange. A wonderful family with a magnificent life story welcomes visitors in their home. It feels like you arrived to visit your friends, gathering at their table every morning for breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. Would love to come back!

Gorgeous old manor house, beautifully updated bathrooms.

The lovely owners
Delicious breakfast
Character property
Easy parking
Good location
Bit tired looking
Could have been cleaner
Infestation of ladybirds (hundreds) in the room when we came back from dinner
No soundproofing and could not go to sleep until owners had retired for the night as noise could be heard downstairs.
The politics conversation over breakfast in the morning was a little heavy for 7:30am! I would like the option of sitting with my partner only rather than owners and other guests

An amazing château perfectly located in between St. Malo and Mt. St. Michel. Owned by the very nice family. The hospitality was overwhelming. Breakfasts at the big table next to the fireplace were amazing! We'd like to recommend this place to everyone!!! Also it was a great time for our beagle, travelling with us to play with the owner's erdelterier.

Very special 300 yrs old house in the countryside 10km from Saint Malo. Worth visiting just for that plus for the wonderful hosts: widely travelled, wildly read multilingual, multicultural easy going couple. Beautiful huge salon and dining room with fire burning in the giant fire place. Breakfasts at the dining table with the hosts and other guests was a very stimulating experience. Everything excellent quality.
Enjoyed everything

Breakfast was lovely-
Agnes and claud were smashing hosts nothing is too much trouble for them....
I think the whole house could do with a little bit of updating - I think a coat of paint and new carpets might help......

Loved this quirky and rustic B&B, in a grand old house and lovely rural setting. Only 13 mins from St Malo ferry terminal. The hosts were so welcoming, offering refreshments on our arrival, they booked an evening meal for us and even had breakfast with us. A much appreciated comfortable stay after camping for 2 weeks.
We loved it, but if you like modern, sanitised, standard accommodation, then this may not be for you, but we would recommend giving it a try.

Absolutely charming host and hostess who happily share this, their home, with strangers in a most welcoming and relaxed way, dividing the chores equally - so lovely. Thank you for the welcome of tea.
The took time to explain the history of the property and for looking after the car so well - delightful to compare!
Thank you also for finding us somewhere for dinner!
Nothing - it was perfect.

The welcome from Agnes and Claude was perfect. The tea and cake with them and our chat in the garden when we arrived, made us feel very comfortable and accepted.
The house was very beautiful and interesting in that it was extremely old and had history. I loved the stairs.
Our room had, unusual in French B&Bs, provision for making tea and coffee, which we appreciated.
The breakfast was great with eggs and bacon, croissants and bread, home made jam, lots of tea or coffee, fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc. but what was so nice, was that our hosts sat with us and chatted as we ate, so that we felt more like friends who had come to stay, rather than paying guests.
Parking was in front of the house, which was very easy.
We were catching a ferry from St Malo and I felt it was a very convenient place to stay, being less than fifteen minutes away from the port.
We loved our stay altogether but found the property a bit hard to find and I struggled to input the address into our Sat Nav.

Both Agnes and Claud were so welcoming, engaging and generous. The house itself is beautiful. Yes it’s very old and the features are authentic, apart from the modern bathroom, but that is exactly what I was looking for: a rural, charming property with genial hosts and a fabulous breakfast.
Nothing.
