Not worth the price

Sea-facing room was spacious, well-appointed and with superior furnishing. Good breakfast. Excellent couples massage.

This is a four star bed and breakfast property, so the cost (R10800) is totally excessive for the amenities provided, ie small pool and pool area, average communal areas, tiny gym, etc. Also, charging for water at breakfast is just cheap and off-putting.

Perfectly located on the Hermanus Cliff Path with phenomenal ocean views

Very well located right on the Hermanus Cliff Path which you can access via a gate. Perfect view out from the rooms for whale watching, etc.

The cleaning staff don't seem to check the rooms that thoroughly. 3 of the 4 windows in the bathroom must have been left out by the window cleaners and were very dirty, although all in the bedroom were very clean. Shower gel was empty so obviously hadn't been checked. A tea-bag was left in the kettle so also not checked. Our used wine-glasses weren't cleaned or cleared away. There is no way to tell which coffee pods are de-caffeinated. The location and view more than made up for these minor shortcomings and the staff were very helpful and quick to resolve when we pointed out the problems.

Staff encouraged us to feel like family. Breakfast was great on the patio with a view of the water. Excellent location on the cliff walk. Saw lots of whales.

Beautiful location with stunning sea views. Lovely, quiet room. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had two minor complaints before dinner, which were resolved upon our return! Truly great service!!!

Stunning scenery along the cliff walk, fabulously presented breakfasts with choices of hot and cold, warm & welcoming staff. A perfect travellers choice. A great location within a short 5 min drive to the regular farmers market held at Hermanus Cricket Club monthly.

Despite underfloor heating the room was very cold, and double duvets needed to keep warm. This a common complaint throughout the locations of our trip to SA and not unique to this guest house.

Spectacular!

We had a fabulous stay. Probably one of the best places I’ve stayed anywhere in the world. Would love to come back again and again. The design was gorgeous, the setting spectacular, the cuisine delicious, and the service amazing. I also appreciated having a fitness center, which is a rare find for a boutique hotel. But if that’s not your thing, plenty of other ways to keep fit including the beautiful cliff path. There is so much to do in the area that 4 nights was definitely not enough. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our family holiday so special!!

Did not meet expectations. Did not feel luxurious. Overpriced - would say it was worth less than half of what they charged. Staff was also not very professional. Breakfast was very disappointing too. Overall, felt very disappointed in my stay.

Perfect for a quick trip to Hermanus.

Amazing spread for breakfast. Lovely quiet location with direct access to the cliff path. Staff were lovely & very helpful, they sorted taxis to get to the town, made recommendations, and allowed us to check out late and leave baggage. Lovely rooms and great decor.
