Pleasant stay and a great position.

The position is excellent and the underground parking was useful.

No lounge area to relax in - the weather meant we often couldn’t sit outside - and no comfy chairs in our room. Good selection for breakfast but buffet area got very crowded.

Managed to breakfast outdoors overlooking the sea even though we had a cold spot in th eweather. Quiet and calming hotel. Great staff.

Room has USB 2.0 charging points in sockets...we are all now on USB-C so could be upgraded when next refurbed.

Always a joy to stay here

Have been coming here for several years. Love the accommodation and location. Exceptionally clean and done on a daily basis. Enjoy the complimentary afternoon tea and scones and water. Staff are very professional and friendly.

Think it is over priced for the area and looking at next year the prices seem to have gone up yet again. Would be better if toilet had its own light and fan as it means bathroom light is on when trying to sleep and using bathroom as all one room. Not enough dun beds around the main pool area quite hard to get one.

Amazing

The location is incredible and the staff are friendly and helpful. Management were welcoming and warm by walking us all to our rooms .They were also really helpful when it came to the baby and the elderly people in our group of 10. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are well equipped and the complimentary tea and scones is a wonderful gesture from an era gone by. It makes the experience special. Thank you

A familiarity that exceeded my expectations by far!

The hotel exceeded our expectations, and we were treated so well and familiarly. The breakfast was the standard continental breakfast, and the staff were excellent.

Pleasant but could be better

Location - especially with the pool on the seafront, is excellent - close to everything in Hermanus. Complimentary afternoon tea is a nice touch

We were in the annexe across the road - our room opened onto a terrace that seemed to be shared by everyone so small children kept coming up and peering through the doors - the rooms/building was not secure as the fire escape allowed access directly to the terrace

The location is prime - but the hotel delivers so much more through the level of service and welcome that Kevin and the team offer from the minute you arrive. Special touches like the afternoon ritual of scones and tea, and the evening turn down service are stand outs. The rooms (New Wing) were spacious, spotless and very functional. Most of our time, however, was spent at the pool or outside enjoying breakfast, lunch or afternoon scones - all with the best view of Hermanus. A big thank you to the Team and we look forward to seeing you again this December.

Stunning location at the heart of Hermanus

The property is located in a stunning area and is easily accessible to the waterfront in Hermanus. The breakfast was great with a lot of options. The room was stunning with an amazing view.

Nothing much, but the staff noted that we had to purchase water over and above the one bottle they provided us. That was quite strange , and for a 4 star establishment I found it to be quite a disappointment.

Furniture in room in a state of disrepair.

The location is excellent. They have a little pool overlooking the coastline and a terrace where they serve good breakfast and afternoon tea

When I entered my room the first thing I wanted to do was to put some things into the safe. Unfortunately the heavy door of the closet detached upon opening falling onto me. Luckily I am a very tall man and was able to hold it. I hat to think what would’ve happened if my grandma opened that door for example. From the state of the hinges and the closet corpus it was also obvious that this happened before. Upon calling reception in a state of shock they asked me to wait in the room and the janitor would have a look at it. After 10 minutes of waiting I decided to call and tell I’d need a drink first. After the drink the janitor was ready to look at it and since I was not offered an alternative room i decided to unpack because i had dinner plans and needed to get ready. In the end it took the nice gentleman 40 minutes to re-attach it and i was late for dinner. This stay was a stressful experience and I wish I‘d never gone there. Nobody apologised for this. It seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary at that place. I do not like to make a big fuzz and demand compensation but I would have appreciated if they had shown a minimum effort to apologise for a lost hour and the shock on my behalf.

The location is amazing. The staff very attentive and the breakfast great. We had a welcome Drink which was a nice touch and free scones and tea every afternoon. Parking is available and secure. There is a pool both at the front of the hotel and a sky pool!

Great stay in luxury suite

All good, a member of staff spotted us trying to get into the underground carpark and came and let us in, excellent start! We had a suite in the Harbour Square accommodation, very spacious, good quality, great views from the balcony, well equipped kitchen. Alfresco breakfast was great, waiter loverly, fantastic view across the swimming pool to the sea.

Descriptions of rooms in Harbour square accommodation are inaccurate. We were told room had a balcony and seating area. There was no balcony and only one chair under the dresser.

Location excellent and the room - hence second or third time I have stayed at this hotel. Reception staff very accommodating/ helpful - clear explanations and assistance. Cleanliness excellent. .

The bacon used for breakfast is shocking - spend a bit more on the quality you buy in - it will definitely be worth it. The restaurant staff - very inconsistent, ranging from excellent!!!!! to the very basic bare minimum of standards and a cannot be bothered attitude.

The location is excellent and within easy walking distance of the waterfront, old harbour, restaurants etc and perfect for whale watching. The room and bathroom was very clean, spacious and well-decorated. The staff were excellent. Very friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfasts were great.
