Our stay was absolutely fabulous and we really didn't want to leave. Everything was top quality, exuded style, but was comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was exceptional both in quality, choice and presentation. In many ways better than any 5 star hotel. Above all Celia was the most amazing host. Nothing was too much trouble and her passion and enthusiasm shone through from the moment we arrived. Thank you Celia and your staff for making our stay so memorable. Exceptional in every way

Beautiful accommodation in a quiet neighbourhood at foothill of mountains, and close drive to the beach. Leonor was so kind and helpful, she made us feel at home and gave local tips for the area, her and her team are wonderful. The rooms are spacious and stylishly decorated, and breakfast was delicious (and accommodated for dietary requirements). Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A Gem in Hermanous

Celia was welcoming and engaging. The decor was lovely, stylish and comfortable. Our room had a wonderful view of the mountains, was clean and comfortable and the amenities wete all we could ask for. The breakfast was delicious and had great choices. I would highly recommend Selkirk House to friends and family.

The accommodation was incredible, attention to detail, warmth & hospitality amazing, breakfasts catered for every need, and overall comfort was excellent! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Selkirk House as a fabulous place to stay in Hermanus!

good location, a few rooms but decorated in a very modern and highly artistic style which I admire. Celia a tasteful and enthusiastic owner, takes care of each visiter. She herself and other staff make the delicious breakfast every morning for us, can't wait to visit again. have to say among several trips in Hermanus, I enjoyed most in this hotel.

Fabulous breakaway to spoil my mom exceeded my expectations

Awesome variety and a great breakfast. Super yummy- lovely fruit salad and variety of cheeses. Great coffee. We loved the scrumptious breakfast 😋. We felt we home and were welcomed like VIP’s. The Mountain View from our room was spectacular. I give Selkirk my highest recommendation and would love to return. True 5 star experience.

Wonderful!

The welcome by Celia was wonderful and the whole stay was like visiting an old friend. It is an oasis of luxury and care. It is amazingly spacious with different comfortable areas to sit outside of the bedrooms. Huge bathroom with a great bath! I would definitely recommend this place and come back if I can .

Rooms extremely spacious, beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly want. Our hostess, Celia, couldn’t have been more helpful or delightful and made us feel very much at home. Delicious breakfasts with excellent choice, all beautifully presented. Lots of little extras that made it very special. This accommodation is exceptional and delighted to have stayed there. A wonderful place to stay if visiting Hermanus. Highly recommended.

The accommodation is excellent. The rooms are spacious and of a very high standard. All the comforts of home plus more. Generous public areas to relax in sophisticated luxury. The property is in a quiet upmarket suburb above the town, but with easy access by car to the tourist areas. Celia, the manager is a superstar. She makes all the guests feel special and goes out of her way to make your stay exceptional.

The weather was terrible during our stay, but despite that, the guest house was so good, that we really enjoyed our visit to Hermanus.
