Quite Comfortable.

Rosemary is a real asset to Hermanus Manor she was very attentive during my 2 nights visit. Especially helpful (unasked) by assisting me to get in & out of the pool. She also cooked me a delicious breakfast.

That the pool was only available from 10am to 7pm which is disappointing when you want a swim before checking out at 10.30. I told them so & they said I could check out at 11am.

A nice place to stay for a quick stop, certainly not a place that you can feel at home in for a long holiday.

This manor is situated in a magnificent area with beautiful mountains right outside the door. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond to help us - doing washing even after work hours - which was so appreciated. The place was neat and clean.

One major issue, something not mentioned in the booking, is that you’re staying inside the house with the owning family. This was at times uncomfortable and made us feel more like guests in someone’s house rather than staying in our own residence for the period we were there. Just bare that in mind when booking here. This dynamic also leads to quite stringent rules on the use of the amenities such as the pool - which was very nice - but had a strict time limit for use.

What a beautiful home. When we arrived we were greeted by Jessica with a warm friendly smile and she explained how things work after we checked in. The staff who served the breakfast was great too, and the breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed swimming in the beautiful pool. It was very quiet and relaxing. The beds is very comfortable and room spotless.

A real gem of a place

The accommodation was excellent. The decor and facilities amazing. The staff were exceptional. We had breakfast served in our room which was a lovely touch. It was very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

A well managed establishment that we would certainly recommend.

The accomodation is central in a quiet suburb. Rosemary greeted us and assisted with all our requirements. A wonderful advert for the business. We had a light breakfast of fresh fruit and yogurt with toast and marmalade which was delightfully prepared by Rosemary. The room was sizeable (room 3 the honeymoon suite)with TV, Aircon,fridge, microwave, coffee station and a spacious bathroom with a double bath, shower etc. The premises are 5 to10minutes from the seafront restaurants. A great location with a superb mountain backdrop.

The wall mounted TV is precariously positioned with the glass shelf/ decoder at head height just inside the Entrance door.

Just fabulous!

Everything. Lovely quiet spot with a mountain view. Very welcoming owner and staff. Beautifully furnished and comfortable , very clean. Personalised cooked breakfast. Would definitely recommend to others and would return again ourselves. We had room 3 which has a walk in shower and a bath, access to a balcony where we had breakfast.

We received a friendly welcome and the accommodation was beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent, and the outside area and heated pool looked great even though we did not have a chance to make use of it.

Hermanus Manor was very accommodating to have me stay when my husband had to go into hospital for emergency surgery. I was not sure even of how many days I'd be there. I had a little garden to eat my take out meal in, which was pleasant after a day at the hospital.

Hermanus is a little piece of heaven!

Our room was upgraded at no extra charge and we had access to our own garden, which was nice. The room was relatively clean, there was also nice to have breakfast made and served to the room - breakfast was good! I think that there place has lots of potential. There is a stunning market up the road from the B&B which I would recommend.

We would have like to have aircon or a fan of some sort in the room. One thing to mention is that the bed and pillows are not comfortable. The B&B is extremely quiet at night, most of the lights are off, it didn't feel very welcoming - we weren't sure if we were the only people around (although there were other cars parked outside). The shower is nice, although the water doesn't get very hot - we could shower in hot water only. There place also seemed very unfinished - there was a 'maintenance' sign on the billiard table. What I was quite annoyed by was that on the rules in the room, it stipulated that we should request whether we wanted the room to be cleaned - which I didn't request, but when we returned from being out in the morning, it appeared that someone had been in the room - the bed was remade after I had already made it - had I known that there would be someone entering our room, I would have not left my personal belongings out.
