Tastefully decorated accomodation in a good location

The accommodation is very tastefully decorated and it is just a short walk from the sea. The owner was nice and even gave us an upgrade. It is quite impressive how the owner managed to create multiple accommodations on the same property, while our accommodation still felt very private and unique. The area felt safe walking back from the restaurants in the early evening.

The location is great. Walking distance to town and the property is quiet and peaceful. Janet the manager is great and very helpful

The property needs a huge upgrade…..eg 3 different knobs on the cooking top. Ceiling fan has old tatty strings. Bar fridge doesn’t keep milk cold. The door to the unit wouldn’t stay closed until it was locked. The shower didn’t drain quickly enough so the water built up. The bathroom floor had long black hairs on it so it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Although the bed was comfy and the linen clean.The room needed painting and the cracks filled up. The cupboard doors were sticky and difficult to handle. I understand that this is an older property but it needs a lot of maintenance. This is our 3rd visit but unfortunately we won’t be returning. Certainly not value for money….

Very comfortable night stay in Hermanus! Just what we needed!!

Great location to town. Very comfortable room and bed. I didn’t realized we would have a kitchen - so that was a pleasant surprise! The host met us and showed us our room which was very cozy. She had a great recommendation to Chard for dinner. We had a delicious steak dinner. We also had secured parking which was very helpful for us. We also left some medicine in the refrigerator. Thankfully, once we realized it, we were able to drive back and obtain it. We very much appreciated the ability to have it held for us until we were able to get back.

The bathroom was small but not a big deal. We were there for one night and you couldn’t beat the value of this cute place.

A lovely little cottage, great for our one night stop. Janet was wonderful and very friendly. The property was very secure in a great location, a short walk from the main restaurants and shops.

Eastbury Cottage is a gorgeous cozy spot to stay. Comfortable, clean and convenient to all the shops, restaurants and sights of Hermanus. Janet was a lovely hostess and greeted us on arrival. Perfect.

Closy cottage with everything you need.

Loved the little garden with undercover eating area. Perfect to be able to eat outside and dry things even in the rain. The space worked well for our family of 4. We also felt very safe being away from the street and parking was secured with electric gate.

The fridge is a little small for 4 people as our sons have huge appetites, but luckily shops are very close and convenient for restocking.

A great experience

Lovely stay, unfortunately only two nights but had a wonderful time. The log burner made the room beautifully warm at night. Jan was very accommodating, allowing us to park our car early on the first day to allow us to get a taxi to the wineries. The second day we had an amazing experience watching the whales from a boat. Later on in the day we could also see them breaching from the shore. The comfortable and very homely accommodation was only a short walk from the seafront and loads of restaurants. We absolutely loved it here and couldn't recommend it enough, a real must and we will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

A lovely relaxing get away.

Our host was amazingly accommodating- allowing us to come a week early with no warning. Thank you! We were welcomed as if we were family! The children loved the friendly dog. The neighbourhood was beautiful and very close to the beach and shops. There is plemty of space in the Rose room with a large spotless bathroom. We enjoyed using a little outdoor seating area and the car was safe in a secure parking space. There is a gas heater and fireplace for use in winter (bring your own fire starters).

The fridge woke me up a few times in the night. There is a buildlng renovation next door with banging starting at 7-30am one morning. I am sure this is temporary.

Nice cottage with wonderful private garden close to the city center

- Friendly owner and quick and easy check-in - Our cottage was decorated in a nice and useful way, the kitchen provided everything for cooking and we enjoyed the terrace and the small but very nice private garden around our cottage - Beds are comfortable - Secure parking very close to the cottage - Accommodation is only a short drive away from Hermanus city center (you can also walk there but we decided to take the car)

I loved that they had thought through everything you could possibly need. It was intuitive. There were lots of extra touches. Milk in the fridge. Tea and coffee. A braai outside. A skotel with gas in the little courtyard. Soap. Body lotion. Cold water in the fridge. Ice. A lovely table in the courtyard. Lovely decor. Spacious bedroom. Lovely linen. And the best thing ever…….they have solar so there is no issue with the load shedding (electricity blackouts). Good wifi too. Responsive friendly host. Highly recommended. I loved it!! The location is perfect. Close to the centre part of Hermanus and all the restaurants. An easy walk to the cliff path.

Good place with small garden in the front. Hermanus is a small town, so most of the restaurants or stores seem to be close by. The manager at the time of our stay suggested one of the hotels for dinner, and the recommendation was excellent. While we did not use the cooking facilities in the room, there were several of them and some of which we didn't find in our earlier stays.

There was a small hiccup with the electric fan when we checked in. The one in the room wasn't working, but upon being informed, the management arranged it fairly promptly. We went out for dinner, and upon our return found two fans installed and operating.

Room upstairs is great, everything you need there, very cozy and nice place. Big shop nerby, close to city centre (walkable distance) and beach walk.

A bit hot in the apartment due it is on the 1st floor, but overall opinion very posotive.

The Cottage is very beautiful and cute. The apartment has everything you need and we slept very well in the very comfortable beds. The whole apartment is very spacious and has a nice balcony. The check-in is super easy and flexible.
