Les the owner is just wonderful and everything was super!

Personally, we would’ve liked a larger fridge and with better freezer availability … but we were there over Christmas… so lots of eating to be done 😉😄!

Very peaceful location and helpful host.

We were shown round the property by Les, who was very friendly and recommended local places to visit. The room was brightly decorated with lovely pictures and decorations making it more personal. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. We had our own private courtyard with chairs, table and braai. Our property was attached to another shady garden, with a beautiful 200 year old wild olive tree, leading to the pool. The pool has plenty of sun loungers and was very peaceful. It is walking distance to the new harbour restaurants and a short drive into the main town. For the more energetic, it is easy to get onto the cliff walkway and walk into town, about 11kms.

A pleasant, no frills apartment for a stay but double check your booking confirmation

The property is well located for New Harbour and the Whale Coast Mall, with a couple of supermarkets, is only a short drive away. Our room was attractively decorated, it had a small, private gated garden with patio table and chairs. The kitchen area had a fridge, microwave and gas hob. We didn’t cook anything but sat outside to eat a couple of times. All in all, it suited us well.

There was some sort of mix up over the bookings and we arrived to be told the apartment we had booked back in August wasn’t available - even though I had received an email from the owner that very morning, whilst still in mid-air. They blamed Booking.com … We kept calm and, to be fair, the owner moved us into an apartment that apparently family or friends had been staying in, very quickly, but it wasn’t the best start to our holiday having just got off a 12 hour flight!

A lovely retreat with lots of homey touches!

This was such a cozy, clean, and comfortable apartment! Everything was wonderful, particularly the fully equipped kitchen and the spacious design. There were many nice touches to make it feel homey. Also, a very safe location about a 20-minute walk to restaurants and town.

I definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

Les was very helpful, suggesting restaurants to eat at, info about the cliff walk and happily providing us with beach towels, extra bath towels and more coffee pods. We were even given a complimentary extra night. The special bonus was that we'll be getting the chance to see whales again.

Quiet and peaceful

Everything was absolutely perfect. Easy to find and just down the road from the new harbor. We stayed there for a triathlon event that started at the new harbor, so it was a short walk to the start. Very quiet and private. We especially enjoyed the little green grass area we had at our unit.

Home away from home, beautiful modern accomodation.

Accomodation is beautifully appointed with modern finishings. Each cottage has its own private garden with braai facilities and was well equipped to make our stay comfortable, we had all we needed. The coffee, milk and cookies was a nice touch. The pool area had a beautiful open grass patch which my daughter loved. We were a 5min walk away from the new harbour where we spotted some dolphins playing in the ocean and were able to go on the walking trails overlooking the ocean. The pictures are exactly the way the accommodation looks, what you see is exactly what you get. We will definitely be visiting again. 10/10

Lovely place in walking distance to town, there is at walking trail nearby. Nice furniture and a nice little pool.

We were 3 adults; the double bed was fine but the single beds needs to have changed madress´s as we 'tilted' towards the floor the whole night.

Very secure clean Les was very helpful with information about the area ..The pool looked lovely unfortunately did not get a chance to use it due to weather.

A large side window with a blind which we had to keep down all the time could be made more private by frosted glass.

The accommodation was comfortable and clean. Our hosts were welcoming, helpful & friendly. The area was conveniently in walking distance to the lovely Hermanus coastal trail and the new harbour. Everything else that Hermanus has to offer is a short drive away. The chalet had all modern conveniences required for my stay. The bed was very comfortable.
