A wonderful overnight stay for our Overberg bike packing trip.

The host was very accommodating. If you are bike packing this is an ideal spot. Storage for 5 bikes was no problem. There was a hosepipe to wash the bikes. Breakfast was incredible! Great location.

The main road was a bit noisy at night so take earplugs

Excellent accommodation in Hermanus with superb breakfast and hosts.

It was close to the centre and within a easy walk to all cafe’s and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing, freshly prepared and plentiful. The rooms were clean and around the pool where you could sit at night.

Only staying for two nights. It was our first time here but it won’t be our last. We will be back but for a longer stay.

Nice place in Hermanus in easy walking distance to the center. The host was very friendly breakfast all good, the rooms arround the pool were as well very nice.

Good location and value for money

The property is well situated within walking distance of the town. The rooms are clean and reasonably well maintained. The hosts are very friendly and engaging. The breakfasts were very good.

The bed was rather uncomfortable and although the guesthouse offers communal fridge space it would be nice to have a bar fridge. The TV sports channels are very limited, especially if you enjoy golf or rugby.

Very comfortable B&B with secure parking. Room was clean and comfortable staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to do in town. Would stay here again!

This was our third visit to this property in the last 3 years, we will definitely come again.

This establishment is well located for the coastal path and town centre. The 6 rooms are off a pleasant courtyard with a small swimming pool, an ideal place to sit in either sun or shade and read a book or relax on a sun lounger. Breakfast is provided in a bright attractive room adjacent to the courtyard. A good selection of beverages and the usual breakfast offerings.

I was really happy and satisfied with my stay and will go back again.

The breakfast was fantastic.

I asked for a one double bed room with booking, and was nit informed that it was not available. Only when i got there i was told that the room i booked was not available. But with that said i was more satisfied with my room i was allocated to. I must also add that i booked late afternoon of the day i needed accommodation so I had no problem.

We were actually visiting from the United States, and my Dad booked this for us as a treat to explore Hermanus. We were delighted with Baleia Guest Lodge. The staff were very hands on and the addition of a full breakfast in the morning was an added bonus and it was fantastic. We will most certainly be back when we visit SA again.

An excellent stay in Hermanus

The hotel is very clean and the room had all advertised amenities. The owner is friendly and enabled a rapid check-in so I could enjoy my holiday. The room was lovely, had very contemporary look and feel, and was perfectly clean. The local area was well-maintained and felt very safe: one of the few places in South Africa I felt safe enough to walk around at night. I liked the setup with car parking and that I could come and go as I wanted. Breakfast was excellent and offered very high-quality produce.

The only thing I didn't like so much was that the room wasn't very dark at night. The curtains look good in the day time, but at night they let in a lot of light. It would be useful if staff could take a look at the rooms at night to identify light sources as I found this impacted sleep quality.
