Private and quiet. Walking distance from everything. Hosts friendly and helpful.

Very quiet with patio and braai. Daily cleaning service. Access to large, beautiful pool and pool area. Walking distance from shopping centre and a lot of restaurants. Safe, inside parking. The daily visits from the dogs and (especially) the cat ;-)

Quiet relaxing haven close to town.

The Brown Jug is how I imagine an old Afrikaans homestead would look like. Dark furniture, super comfortable reclining chairs with footrests. Beautiful courtyard filled with colourful flowers and two great big friendly dogs roaming around. The pool was an added bonus. It is close to the centre of Hermanus so an easy walk to buy groceries and stroll along the 'biodiversity walkway'.

We feel that the property's garden needs attention. As you enter from the parking bay, the first impression is of a neglected garden, with green water that was supposed to be a water feature.

Ideally situated, very comfortable, felt like a real home.

The location is so close to town and all amenities. Lovely to have the cat and the dog pay the occasional visit - makes it feel like home.

Lighting is a little too subdued for reading, but with the floor lamp it was fine.

We were comfortable and the location is very good.

Whilst this property is comfortable and clean, we found the decor to be rather lost in the 70’s, which made it feel a little dark and drab. We were only told by the owners the evening before we left, that Eskom would be switching off all power in Hermanus the next morning at 6.00 am until 18.00 - with such a significant and lengthy maintenance power out, the residents of Hermanus were surely given notice of this a few days before? It was quite annoying to be told so late. We were given a hot pot/thermos to use for hot water - it was unusable as it was either dirty or rusted inside. The lady who checked us in was lovely.

The owners Abel and Louise were on hand for anything we needed. They could not have been any kinder.

Stunning cottage. Beautiful and quiet environment.Main attractions were a walking a distance. Loved it.

One of our criteria was for the accomodation was that it must have a swimming pool though we are not really good swimmers.I was a bit disappointed that the shallow part of the pool was also deep.In the end we couldn't use the pool.

The warm friendly environment whilst privacy was respected. Cleanliness was great and accommodation as displayed in photos. Location a major plus as near to all the best amenities. Nothing to much for the host and hostess.
