Amazing located hotel with fantastic staff, food, coffee and a beautiful pool

You really feel part of the hotel when staying here. Just keep in mind that this room is located next to the restaurant. Apart from that, everything is exactly the same — and everything is amazing. The pool is beautiful, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food and coffee are top-notch. Truly 10/10. There is a little bit of noise in the morning because of the restaurant, but it’s very minimal and absolutely manageable. During the day you’re usually out exploring or relaxing by the stunning pool anyway. For the price, this option is definitely worth it and I would highly recommend it.

The room was like a "box". No outlook and dark, right next to the dining room which meant you had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. No window except the toilet window which looked out on to a passage. After staying at Harbour House previously and having a wonderful room we were shocked that this room could be called an "Adventure Pad"

Booked at last minute so took only available room. Even though the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable didn't like the layout of the open plan bathroom..

This is a room that has been created to make full use of an unused space. It was on the ground floor behind the bar/restaurant. It was very spacious but I didn't like the open plan with the bath & shower in the bedroom. The window looked into the restaurant so had to keep curtains pulled . It wasn't particularly noisy during our stay but we did hear people chatting at early breakfast . It was fine for our 1 night stay .

Very disappointing

Excellent location!

We booked the adventure room on Bookings.com but there was no indication of the poor quality and unsuitable location of the room in the hotel on Bookings.com. The room was situated between the kitchen, bar, reception and dining room and thus noise from 5.30 until 23:00 every evening. We were unable to sleep and the room was unpleasant. We were taken aback because the Harbour hotel is usually excellent. I put this down to miscommunication and false advertising. Resulting in a very unpleasant experience.

Best position in Hermanus

Breakfast was great at front row spot under trees while watching whales in the bay. Rugby on big screen and my pet dog was welcomed by efficient and friendly staff.. Huge TV with good channels too.

When we moved to Room 22 , was great.

When we changed rooms, the room was awesome, comfortable and well furnished and modern. Breakfast was great, good choice and food was good.

I would not recommend the Adventure Pads Room no. 1. Your "window" looks out onto the Breakfast room and you can hear every sound and people talking. For a "Deluxe Room" as advertised I didnt expect to be in a dungeon. Beautifully decorated but no, we had to move. During Load shedding - there is no generator? Where is poor for a 4 star hotel? TV doesnt work if you dont have your own DSTV login or Netflix acc? Very odd. Never seen that before in a hotel....

The breakfast lady in the kitchen made sure our halal dietary means were met. The complimentary scones and tea for tea time was a lovely touch. The location and view are breathtaking..The room was big and comfortable

Compromise of Location of this specific room which we knew about when booiking could have been helped if there was an air-conditioner instead of a ceiling fan, which could have helped with ventilation

first night a nightmare.

The breakfast. The breakfast room. The swimming pool.

The Delux family room was advertised on ground floor. This is not true it is based in the basement. Your view is a solid wall. It feels claustrophobic. You enter from the basement parking space. The finance office was opposite our room. House keeping Backup stock also next to our room. The aircon of the whole building few steps away. Toilets for guests and staff few steps away. This is a dungeon. I started coffing from the moist downstairs. We moved to another room the next day but had to pay an extra R500.00 per night. The reception staff was not very friendly about this situation.
