A classy little gem

Fabulous location. Delicious breakfast. The staff in the hotel go the extra mile to make sure you have the best stay. My husband had a really good massage, which helped his aching shoulder. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Super walks in the area, lots of art shops. Great local restaurants. We did the whale tour with Marine Dynamics and saw the big 5, including whales even though it’s out of season.

A really wonderful couple of nights that exceeded our expectations.

A beautiful building in the heart of Hermanus. As the name suggests, it is styled on a French Auberge. The staff were outstanding and there were nice touches like a welcome drink and an honesty bar. We did not dine at the hotel but the little breakfast room adjacent to the main building was very pretty, the breakfasts were really excellent and the the staff were superb. All in all, it is very difficult to find fault.

Amazing hotel - with the greatest staff!

Simply amazing! Also one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The staff was very friendly - in particular a big shout out to Michaela at the reception. It felt like you really cared about our holidays and that is not standard. Anytime again!

Auberge Burgundy gave us a warm, Tuscan-style stay with a great location, a superb pool and attentive staff.

Auberge Burgundy Hotel and Spa was a perfect choice for our short stay in Hermanus. My wife and I loved how the property felt like a quiet corner of Tuscany, with warm colours and a relaxed atmosphere. The location couldn’t have been better, right in the heart of town and close to the water. The pool was excellent, a real highlight, and the staff were attentive throughout our stay. It’s exactly the kind of boutique hotel that makes a quick getaway feel special.

Lovely hotel in a lovely seaside town. Would stay again.

Beautiful room in this charming hotel. We really enjoyed the giant space and the huge bed. When we arrived whales were breaching in the sea across the road! You can walk everywhere here, it’s all so close. We also drove here and were able to park on the premises. I had some treatments in the spa and that was delightful, would highly recommend. The hotel also surprised us with wine and cookies as it was our honeymoon. The breakfast in their cafe next door was gorgeous and we felt extremely looked after by all the staff at Auberge. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

One of the best places in town - cosy atmosphere and well located

The Auberge Burgundy is perfectly located in the nicest, vibrant part of town. The ocean, sculpture garden, restaurants and shops are all just a stone throw away. The whole house is nicely decorated and provides a cosy atmosphere. We had the spacious penthouse room with separate lounge and could watch the whales from our balcony. Secure parking in front of the hotel, good WiFi, comfy bed and on top of this a delicious breakfast! We can highly recommend this place to any traveller!

No complaints at all. Just the breakfast room could be a bit bigger. But we did not mind as the breakfast was just excellent.

Beautiful hotel in amazing location

Beautiful hotel, very welcoming staff, and lovely grounds including a pool and garden. The room was big, and tastefully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. We loved the complimentary sherry/port-such a nice gesture. The location is hard to beat, right in the thick of things but the hotel itself is peaceful.

The fridge in our room was noisy and disrupted our sleep. You can get fridges that are silent so would recommend an upgrade.

I have stayed in Hermanus often . This was definitely the best location I have stayed in. Definitely a home from home with a beautiful quiet room even over whale festival weekend with an amazing breakfast too . Will definitely be staying there again very soon .

Loved every minute.

The hotel is charming. Located in the centre of this delightful town. The staff (big plus to Conor who would be an asset to any establishment) were just great and so helpful. Once inside the hotel, it's all 5-star. The aesthetics and ambience are just amazing. Gorgeous courtyard leading to lovely rooms with sumptuous beds. Breakfast is served in the adjoining restaurant and was excellent - the best homemade granola I've ever had. Again the breakfast staff were just the best.

If it wasn’t for the noise I’d stay here again as everything else was great.

Perfect location with very friendly and welcoming staff. Bedroom large and spacious with comfortable beds. Breakfast very good. The inhouse spa was an extra treat.

Rooms are not sound proof and you hear every little sound from outside. So not much sleep was had. They clearly know this is a problem as they provide earplugs next to the beds.(Unfortunately these don’t work). Floors are clay tiles which is great for summer but a bit chilly for winter nights. Would make more sense to carpet bedroom floors to help with sound and warmth. Doors and windows need soundproofing.

Fantastic location with lovely staff

We had the top floor apartment which has the two rooms so ideal for us as a family. The location is perfect just a stones throw away from the sea and restaurants. Because we stayed in the winter it was a bit chilly at night but there is a fire place in the main living room with plenty of wood and we were given some hot water bottles which made the beds nice and toastie. On the day we were checking out we were leaving early to get to our next destination so didn’t have the time to go to the restaurant for breakfast, but the hotel made us a lovely boxed up continental breakfast with croissant, pastries etc in which we ate in the car.
