Exceptional Hermanus gem!

I had a wonderful 5-night stay here and would highly recommend it. The guesthouse is beautiful, spotless and very well maintained, and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and relaxed. The location is excellent, very close to the cliff path, which made it perfect for walks and enjoying the scenery around Hermanus. The hosts were exceptionally kind, warm and accommodating. They went out of their way to help organise a booking for me, catered thoughtfully for my non-meat diet at breakfast and were very flexible in allowing me to stay in my room beyond checkout time, which I really appreciated as I wasn't feeling well towards the end of my stay. They were always happy to help with arranging dinner reservations, booking taxis and offering helpful local recommendations. Breakfast each morning was excellent, fresh and clearly prepared with care and creativity.The hospitality truly made the stay special and I felt very well looked after throughout my visit. I would absolutely return and happily recommend this guesthouse to others visiting Hermanus.

Whale watching in Hermanus

We had a beautiful room with a great view. Johan and Elizma are lovely hosts and supported with bookings of whale watching and restaurants as well. The breakfast was amazing.

We will be back

The little touches that the owners put together to make your stay more homely. Flowers, wine, beer and water. The bed was so comfy and the shower powerful. The breakfast was superb you had everything you could ask for. The property was only a short walk approx 15-20 mins by coastal or main road to Hermanus main area. Elizma and Johan would also book you into the restaurant of your choice and also arrange taxi. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

I had a pleasant stay at The Cliff Villa Boutique Guesthouse. The location and atmosphere are lovely, and the host was very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, which made for a relaxed visit. The breakfast was good, though it didn’t need all the cakes and extra sweets — sometimes less is more. A simpler approach would have been just as enjoyable. Overall, it was a nice experience with warm hospitality.

Elizma and Johan were excellent hosts. I chose the Cliff Villa Hotel mainly due to the reviews it had received from previous clients. I was welcomed to the accommodation with a generous, friendly and professional approach. My room couldn’t be faulted. I had an amazing Seaview. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was a welcome bottle of wine and fresh roses. All lovely personal touches which were very appreciated. the property of extremely clean modern and setting a peaceful convenient location along with safe gratis is car parking. There was a maid/housekeeping service daily. Breakfast was something else! The table groaned with many delicious options. Be sure to ask the hosts for recommendations for evening meals- the ones recommended to me were excellent

What a great guesthouse! The hosts go out of their way to make the stay as enjoyable as possible and both of them are really what makes this such a great place to stay. The proximity to the cliff path is yet another striking feature. Will definitely return once back in Hermanus.

A beautifully appointed and located guest house run by the most wonderful hosts.

A very short walk to the cliff path providing beautiful views of the ocean and marine life including Wales, Seals and Dolphins as well as a variety of ocean birds. Head out for your walk before or after a breakfast fit for royalty and bottomless freshly brewed coffee by the host. Our hosts were friendly and accommodated any special requests with absolute delight.

The owners are in the right business; they truly love what they do. I was presented with a huge breakfast fit for a Queen. They were so attentive and kind. Der Pool war toll und der Garten sehr gepflegt. Johann und Elizma sind außerordentlich freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter, die dich in allem unterstützen.

Das Haus, ist sehr hellhörig. Insbesondere die Zimmer mit Bergblick. Die Bilder suggerieren einen eigenen Balkon für diese Zimmer. Dem ist nicht so, es ist ein Weg an den Zimmer vorbei durch das Haus.

Sehr schöne renovierte und saubere Zimmer, bequeme Betten und großes Bad in ruhiger und sicherer Lage. Elizma und Johan sind tolle Gastgeber und sind mit vollem Herzen dabei. Wir fühlten uns wie willkommen bei Freunden. Für das Frühstück gibt es einen langen Tisch mit allem (und mehr), was man für ein gutes Frühstück braucht. Es fehlt wirklich an nichts (oder wird für den nächsten Tag extra gekauft wie mein grüner Tee). Sogar unsere Wäsche konnten wir gegen ein kleines Entgelt waschen lassen. Wir empfehlen dieses B&B uneingeschränkt weiter.

Esperienza che non ci ha convinto

Struttura molto carina e proprietaria molto accogliente

La nostra stanza non aveva finestre e dava su un corridoio di passaggio. Inoltre i muri tra le stanze erano estremamente sottili e si sentiva tutto (voci, bagno, ecc). Infine, sempre a causa dei muri estremamente sottili, si sentiva un rumore continuo insopportabile (tipo ticchettio) che non ci ha fatto chiudere occhio. Sicuramente la struttura è carina ma bisogna fare molta attenzione a scegliere una camera con balcone.

Moderne Unterkunft in guter Lage von Hermanus. Mit wenigen Schritten kommt man zum Cliff Walk und man kann auch gut zu Fuß zu Restaurants spazieren. Elizma und Johan sind außergewöhnlich um die Gäste besorgt. Wir hatten einen Platten und Johan hat darauf bestanden, dass er uns das Rad wechselt, während wir am Cliff Walk wanderten. Wunderschönes modernes Gästehaus

Die Gastgeber waren extrem freundlich und es hat ein ausgiebiges Frühstück gegeben. Sie haben mir auch eine gute Restaurant Empfehlung gegeben und ein Taxi bestellt. Die Lage ist sensationell direkt am Küstenweg. Speziell möchte ich erwähnen, dass mir eine Statue im Bad so gut gefallen, dass mir die Gastgeberin diese gleich verkauft und geschickt hat😃

Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, geben gerne Informationen über Unternehmungen, Restaurants weiter und buchen diese auch. Wir erhielten bei Ankunft einen Strauß roter Rosen und eine Flasche Wein - sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstück perfekt und das Schwimmbad so groß, dass man schwimmen kann. Ein Parkplatz befindet sich gesichert am Haus. Das Haus liegt in der Nähe des Cliff Weges, man erreich Hermanus Centrum in ca 20 Minuten - ein sehr schöner Weg, gespickt mit schönen Sichten und vielen Bänken zum verweilen.
