Nice place to stay a little outside of town in Hermanus

The property was quite a bit out of the town of Hermanus in a quiet and nice residential area. Close to the main road and walking distance to a beautiful beach and the start of a 12km coast path walk that was great to do. One resturat within walking distance (Dutchies) on th ebeach.

The room was very comfortable. The location was perfect, a short walk to a beautiful beach and a short drive to restaurants. And with the mountains as a perfect backdrop. The breakfast was exceptional. And it was such a pleasure to converse with the manager.

The room was beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable. The mini fridge was helpful. The walk-in shower was great. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh fruit and a freshly made omelette, all very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The villa was so beautiful and clean. The apartment was very well equipped and bigger than I thought. The staff were so accommodating when we unexpectedly arrived early. The breakfast was good too. Felt a bit like home!

Happy in Hermanus

We did a very last minute booking, which was handled professionally. Room was exquisite, very comfortable. Smallest attention to detail. Breakfast was the best! We didn't plan on staying in Hermanus, but were forced due to the fires in Gansbaai. We are so glad we decided to stay here.

Very good stay in a superb house !

Great stay at Whale Coast Ocean Villa. Superb bedroom, fully furnished. The house (8 bedrooms) is very well protected, you really feel safe there. There is a private parking for your car, inside the property. For dinner, you need to have a car to go to the city center (for example), all the restaurants are there. There is a full breakfast, with buffet and ''à la carte'' menu. Excellent. We had a friendly chat with our host who made appreciated efforts to speak english so that, us, French, could easily understand. Thanks for that ! We need to come back in Hermanus in Aug or Sept (in 2 years time) to see the whales, they are apparently next door to the house :)

We had a difficult start due to solar power system issues with lack of electricity and water. It then got luckily fixed. Freezer was going into alarm mode and beeping was audible from the opposite room, we managed to fix it ourselves as no one was around.

Beautiful property

Beautiful property very close to Grotto beach, a lovely breakfast was included and the host was extremely accomodating. The room was comfortable, spacious and the communal area was also stunning. Sadly our room had no view but I also did not specify that I wanted one, next time!

It was exceptionally safe, beautifully clean and well decorated. We only stayed one night but we would have loved to have stayed more. We had the sea facing room with a balcony and the view was so wonderful. It was so quiet, I thought we were the only ones there but at breakfast, it was full! Thank you Aurelia and Antonia, we really enjoyed our stay ☺️

Friendly, welcoming staff. The accommodation is modern, clean and very inviting. The breakfast is generous and scrumptious. It is in walking distance to well know Grotto Beach and Dutchies Restaurant. Highly recommended. A bonus is they have alternative power supply, so no loadshedding.

Perfect location when visiting Hermanus

The place was very clean and pretty with amazing views of the mountain, the location was perfect for visiting Hermanus and nearby towns and the breakfast was excellent. The staff (Antonia) was very helpful when we checked in. The manager told us where to find the perfect viewpoint for whale watching and she was absolutely spot on. While our whale-watching trip has been cancelled because of the weather, it has been a lovely experience staying overnight and would certainly book here again when we come back to Cape Town for another holiday.

There were no cutlery in the apartment although we could have asked the staff and they would surely have provided, we didn't bother. We only needed a teaspoon to stir coffee so a disposable wooden stirrer could have been provided in the rooms.
