Beautiful spot by the beach, spacious rooms great service

We loved the property the pictures dont do it justice, I think because some of the art work is a little dated but the space is beautiful, very close walk to Grotto beach, the room was very spacious and everyone was spotlessly clean! The team working there were so helpful, knowledgable and welcoming and we’d definitely go back!

I’d say the only slight tweak is some of the artwork is feeling dated but doesn’t spoil the stay

I wish we stayed more than 1 night!

The architecture of the house is fantastic! The bedroom was huge with an amazing view. It is not directly on the beach because the winds are strong in this area, so all sea shore houses are about 300 meters inland, with vegetation to protect them from the sand. Yet, even from the downstairs bedroom we had a beautiful view of the beach, with a nice garden view, beautifully landscaped with selected local plants. The bed was huge, which was a plus for us. The linen were super soft and a dream to slide in. My father LOVED the breakfast. There was plenty of choice and all products were fresh (except for the fruit juices which were not freshfly squeezed). I loved the pool, for me the pool was the cherry on the cake! The staff is absolutely fantastic, all of them!

The mattress was a bit too strong, but good (I like soft, so that's my probably going to affect only a few). The TV did not work, but that's not a problem since we did not visit Hermanus to watch TV.

Room was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. We were a little further out of town than anticipated, too far to walk in for dinner,but got an Uber easily enough. Lovely pool & communal areas.

The hotel is located near Grotto Beach and Hermanus famous Cliff path'. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. It offered what you would expect from a luxury hotel in the form of coffee and tea, as well as bathroom facilities, including a nightly turn-down service.

One of the basin's was blocked on arrival .. we used the other one.

Beautiful and stylish house in fantastic location close to the sea. Very nice staff and owner who we met while we were there.

Felt like we were staying in someone’s house . The owner was there with his friends. Staff didn’t explain what areas we could access or what to do at breakfast so we felt like we were intruding on their weekend, as they sat eating breakfast in the family living room/kitchen. They were all very nice when we were invited in and the breakfast was amazing.

Fantastic property and hearty hospitality.

Breakfast was delicious and more than enough. We did enjoy the setting and the view onto the ocean was brilliant.

My only suggestion would be to have a small glass pain by the shower in order to stop the water from entering the rest of the bathroom. The room was however stunning and we loved every minute of our stay.

Worth it for the gorgeous views and lovely staff!

A large and very comfortable guest house, well located above Grotto Beach with spectacular views out to sea. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, our suite was lovely and we felt very well looked after by Linda and her team.

Nothing to dislike but just be aware that it’s a short drive from Hermanus town centre for dinners etc, there is really not much around the property itself.

A peaceful oasis with great style and lovely sea views

The location is great - just along the coast from Hermanus but within a short walk from a fantastic beach. The architecture and style of the property is stunning. The staff were all great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We only booked one night here but wished we had booked more so will be returning.

We were disappointed to hear that the hotel restaurant was not open for evening meals but the manager Wayne was very helpful in sorting us out with a meal as there are some local restaurants that do take aways
