Rose Street Residence

Muy buena ubicación. Casa grande y bien equipada.

Convenient and safe

Location was fab and easy to find, with straightforward access. Once inside, there were plenty of keys for the whole group, which made coming and going simple. Plenty of space for the whole family, beds were comfortable, and the flat was clean. The main bathroom was also in fairly good condition.

The flat has the feel of a property owned by someone whose priority is extracting rental income rather than investing in it. It doesn’t feel like a home anyone takes pride in — more a case of waiting for things to break rather than maintaining them. The fittings throughout are tired and worn. The carpet had been vacuumed but was visibly grubby and stained, setting the tone and feel for the whole place. The blinds behind the curtains were frayed and one broken, the lock on the main bathroom didn’t work, and the toilet door handle was hanging off — we screwed it back on ourselves, the latch had been taped open, presumably because it didn’t work properly either. The second shower room was in poor condition (a new cubicle was apparently being fitted after we left, but it needs considerably more than that). An unnecessary final touch: brown, unpleasant-smelling soap in the bathrooms.
