Edinburgh - Houseboats

It's a nice and suggestive accommodation. Clean and stuff is extremely kind

It's not possible to close the bathroom door from the corridor, that means that the bathroom remains open after the usage. There's not enough space to hang wet towels and space to put clothes. It's fine for 3/4 people Our boat was directly on the pedestrian side of the canal, during the night there were several drunk people walking close by and making noise

The boat was lovely, with outdoor seating areas, a cute kitchen and living space, and cosy bedrooms. The single bathroom was spacious, and the extra facilities accessible near by (shower and toilets) were really useful - particularly to use any non-grey water safe toiletries.

While the boat could technically sleep 8, I would say it comfortably sleeps 6, and a 7th could be accomodated. It is advertised as a 3 bed, so the 7th and 8th were always expecting to sleep on the sofa bed, but as it's a boat the (indoor) living space was very limited when the sofa bed was open, and with 8 peoples bags in the boat.

It was great to stay somewhere different rather than a house or a hotel. It was a unique experience.

Nothing to dislike really. It was comfortable and we had everything we needed.

Great location

Didn’t feel as luxurious as the information implied, dated and worn out furniture including uncomfortable chairs and stools too tall so they don’t fit an adult under the counter. Old televisions that didn’t initially work until we added them to the WiFi and out of date PAT testing on electronics (2023). The rope ladder on the bunk beds that felt hand made does create a safety issue as we discovered with our daughter trapping her head in it during the night, fortunately she also got an arm caught so no lasting damage was fine but it was quite stressful
