Good location. Short walking to Edinburgh castle. Many boutiques, shops and restaurants nearby.
The apartment was on the top most floor, great view to the Edinburgh Castle and the sea from the unit. The apartment is tastefully decorated. Very spacious living room and kitchen.
There is no lift. The floor to floor height is high. Climbing 4 flights of stairs with medium size luggage is a challenge. Not for families with very young children or seniors. Bring small luggages.
As a ‘luxury’ apartment, I expected better toiletries - bath gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion but there was only a 2 in one bath/ shampoo.
Also for a 3 nights stay for 4 persons, there were only 2 nespresso capsules, could be a bit more generous. ( there was a welcome pack of tea bags, instant coffee and biscuits )

It was a great location - central, with multiple restaurants and tube lines. The apartment was clean and had enough space for 4 adults and 2 kids. It was a great launch-pad for our vacation.
A bit of a hike up a few flights of stairs but manageable! They could use more fans (at least during a heat wave!). A unique issue to us is that we had added on extra day post-facto which led to two snafus: (1) we could not access the door when we got there because the first reservation was "over" but we were too early to check in for the primary stay; this was handled promptly on the phone by the property manager. (2) We were not billed for that first night, and then we were hounded - while at a friend's wedding - to pay for the night within a day of when we did get the bill, or risk extra charges, despite the error not being ours.

The location was perfect, big size apartment and the place was always warm and pleasant.
Starting off the trip the host wasn’t very responsive, nor accommodating (especially considering we were staying for four nights). Lights/bathroom doors/window frames were all broken.
