Good

The flat was beautifully decorated and had wonderful views over Edinburgh. It was close to several of the tourist attractions that we wanted to visit.

There was nothing in the information that said the flat was right next to a concert venue. Two out of three nights we were subjected to music we wouldn't have chosen to listen to. Definitely wouldn't have booked this if we'd known. One of the ensuite bathrooms had a smell of drains that could only be dealt with by having the window open which was difficult when the concerts were in progress. When we arrived there were lilies in a vase in the kitchen whose perfume permeated the whole flat causing sneezing and asthma problems.

great place but for the noise of the stadium builders each morning

well equipped, spacious. only 200 yards from the Royal Mile near the Castle

they were building the stadium outside the Castle gates and directly outside our apartment - it was very noisy from early with scaffolders building the stand - we should have been told - it also blocked any chance we had of seeing the castle from the apartment - very disappointing indeed and somewhat spoiled our stay Also the advertising details didn’t quite spell out it was up 69 steps the the apartment from the road

Even with the maintenance issues it was a great place to stay.

Location, decor, comforable beds, lots of bathrooms and plenty of space. Views were incredible!

A few maintenance issues like one of the toilets not flushing, the kitchen faucet was very loose,the dryer ran so hot it was unusable for fear of ruining clothes.

Unbelievable property with amazing views!

not enough positive things can be said about the location of this property. It’s not every day you wake up and see a castle outside your bedroom window. The apartment was huge, comfortable and located next to Edinburgh castle. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

There are a lot of steps to climb to get to the apartment. Getting luggage up the winding staircase was a bit of a chore, but it was totally worth it to have the city/ castle views out the windows.

Did not receive key location lock box location & number before we arrived so had to ring agents who came with keys after half an hour. Terrible start for 3 pensioners! Wasn't keen on apartment being 60 stairs up either.

Excellent location, spacious and great views of the castle and the city

Very spacious and cozy flat. The apartment is much nicer than the pictures. Very good location with excellent views of the castle and New Town. Comfy beds, good quality bedsheets and duvets. Slept with the windows open and woke up to bagpipes every morning, which was actually nice. Perfect for a group of friends or family traveling together. Very easy to communicate with the rental company. Asked to get the keys early due to early arrival and that was no problem. Had to pay a fee, but it was worth it. Would without a doubt stay here again.

As other guests have pointed out, it is a lot of stairs as the flat is three floors up with no elevator. We didn’t have any problems with it, but if you have any mobile disabilities it could be a challenge. Couldn’t find any heating for the bathroom next to the master bedroom. As we stayed here in February, it was quite cold. We come from north Norway and are used to the cold, but this was very cold. Didn’t use the bathtub because of this. Shower had decent pressure and plenty warm water though. Would still stay here again without a doubt.

Really loved the apartment and would definitely stay again

Location, amazing views, spaciousness, full of character with lovely decor and fittings/art/furniture, comfortable beds, ensuite modern bathrooms, well equipped kitchen

We managed the stairs fine but might be harder with anything more than weekend luggage! We had no problems with the front door access/locks as described in previous reviews. Heating system/thermostat was set too high for us, but easily turned down to 19 to be cooler/more energy conscious (although heating instructions need updating in info folder).

Unique place tom stay

The apartment is amazing with views of the castle and the Christmas markets. The apartment was clean, comfortable and homely.

Couldn't find the lock box to begin with. Nice views but a nightmare.

No mention of it being 3 floors up a windy, spiral staircase with no lifts. Not suitable for families with pushchairs and family who are wheelchair dependent. Was most unhappy. Nice apartment . Couldn't access the washing machine either.

Beautiful apartment in a great location, but the the inoperable doorknob makes it a fire trap.

The location was great - only a 5 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle. We could have seen the castle from the apartment, if not for the temporary stands that were erected for the upcoming Military Tattoo at the castle. The bedrooms, living area, and kitchen area were very nice too. We loved the comfort of the space!

If there had been a fire, we would have died in the apartment. The doorknob does not work, and it literally took 2 - 3 minutes to get it to work anytime we entered or left the apartment. Also, be prepared for exercise, as there are 60 stairs to climb to reach the apartment.

FABULOUS LOCATION AS PROMISED. Would have be useful if 60 steps to the apt.NOT handicapped friendly. AND NOT NOTED AS SUCH. OUTSTANDING VIEWS FROM EVERY WINDOW. The furnishings were high quality- it was definitely a home-like experience. Kitchen fully equipped. Bedrooms large / bathrooms were appointed.

Impossible de trouver un défaut pour l intérieur de cet appartement : confortable bien équipé spacieux propre …il est parfait ! Emplacement calme et secteur géographique parfait !

Nous n ‘avons jamais reçu les codes du cadenas à 16h ! Nous avons dû téléphoner pour les récupérer ! L’accès au cadenas est 200 m plus bas environ qui s explique pour des raisons de sécurité n est pas top ! le cadenas est attaché à une grille sur le sol , absolument pas hygiénique ! Des lingettes désinfectantes dans la boîte à clefs , ou une personne devant le logement pour remettre les clefs à un horaire choisi serait un atout majeur , le tarif mériterait cette attention ! 2 eme étage sans ascenseur , excellent pour sa mise en forme moins sympa avec les valises !

Apartamento genial ,extraordinaria ubicación, vistas excepcionales de la ciudad y del castillo. El mobiliario y utensilios de la cocina muy atractivos. Detalle de bienvenida que resulta muy de agradecer, además de elementos de aseo de cortesía . Cada habitación con su baño y un aseo más.

Tercer piso sin ascensor y la luz de la escalera no había forma de encenderla. Podría mejorarse la potencia del chorro del agua en la ducha, alguna bombilla que no funcionaba en el dormitorio azul o las tablas que crujen o añadir papelera en el dormitorio de dos camas .
