Excellent location, away from the cobbled streets for access with luggage then a very short walk into the Royal Mile to see all the sights.
Nothing at all about the property was bad.

Great location, good sized clean room
Large number of stairs before lift starts on second floor. Needed blinds closed for any privacy. Air-conditioning was poor. Minimal kitchen dishes and utensils.

the space itself was lovely - comfortable and well appointed
the smell of rancid fat and fried food permeated the apartment and there was not adequate provision to remove the smell. The maintenance chap was kind and gave me an air freshener but it didn't make much of a difference. I asked about this and the company said this was out of their control. Installing some sort of air freshening system is not beyond their control and should be looked into
