Great location, clean apartment but a little cold!

The property was very clean, very spacious for our family of four.

Not knowing which exact apartment number we were booked into caused us a little stress, due to having to trying all the doors. The size of the rooms in this apartment made it hard to keep warm, the heating system seemed to be on some sort of timer and a few of the radiators were cold at the bottom. I believe each could have done with bleeding to get these to work more efficiently, living room electric fire also would not work correctly.

Excellent location with parking a short distance away. Spacious living room. Very clean. Provided tea and coffee which was appreciated. Marvellous toiletries! Also liked the code entry system.

Lighting was dim everywhere! No placemats or chopping board. We used the provided kitchen roll as coasters otherwise mugs/glasses clunked noisily onto glass tables. We noticed previous guests had chopped on counter top as scratches were visible. What a shame. We used a plate which, of course, blunts the knives. As a woman in my sixties, I could not get comfy on the low backed sofa or chairs so had to sit on the high backed chairs at the table. We had an issue with the parking - we were given an expired validation ticket so had to pay the full amount. Destiny Scotland has promised to refund me.

Planning to come back to Edinburgh but only if we can stay at the Q!

The accommodation was grand and luxurious, with spacious rooms that still felt cosy, inviting, and warm. Despite being located on a main road, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful throughout our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything we needed, including a large oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. Oh, and did I mention that the beds were amazingly comfortable and large. The location was lovely, with a few bars just up the road—perfect for an evening drink. It's also just a short walk to the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Dean Village Walk, and other key attractions. A special mention to the wonderful staff at the office where we collected our parking validation—they were incredibly helpful, taking the time to pull up Google Maps and provide clear, step-by-step directions to the car park. Thank you again!

The location of the apartment was excellent. The apartment is beautifully furnished.

Clean, roomy, comfy & nice - beware of stairs if on the 4th floor!

Very clean, spacious apartment! We really appreciated the space, the large kitchen, the daylight and views...comfy beds, and 2 toilet!!! It was definitely nice to come back to after a full day touring and loved having operable windows for fresh air and water views! Only downside - going up to the 4th floor with a heavy bag (even without bags!) was hard, not recommended for older folks or people who can't do that many stairs so put that in your reservation request. The kitchen is SUPER limited, no spices etc so you need everything if you plan to cook. Has all the basics for pots/pans, utensils. I think it would be REALLY helpful - and needed - to provide instructions on how to use the washer/dryer. I got it wrong several times and used CHATGPT to help finally. Blackout shades provided, quiet apartment.

Stairs, no spices in kitchen, no directions for washer/dryer. Longer walk than I thought to the train station - up a steady hill on your way back.

Great location, walking distance to all major sites. Very spacious with 3 separate bedrooms to accommodate the 6 adults in our party. Also, 2 separate showers which really helped. Very nice family room with TV and sitting area to relax in the evening. Kitchen was awesome. And it had a nice outdoor sitting area.

It was good but not exceptional for the reasons stated above.

It was easy

Small amounts of mold in bathroom. What sounds like the water heater pump ran every 10-15 minutes and was pretty loud (woke us up until we got more accustomed to the sound). The host knew the bathroom sink was 90% clogged and didn’t inform us. Had to brush teeth in the kitchen sink.

Spacious Apartment in Convenient Location

The apartment was VERY spacious and well equipped. Having a washing machine and drying rack in the unit was terrific. Location was also very convenient - just a short walk to the tram stops. A good base for exploring Edinburgh.

Lots of stairs up to the apartment (no lift). If you have mobility issues it might not be the place for you.

Amazing location in new town. Close to all the new town shops and restaurants. On a quiet street away from the royal mile rush. Large apartment with large rooms. Very comfortable. Great for families.

Some cleanliness issues such as the garbage in the kitchen had dried old food all over it. Some of the kitchen utensils were not washed properly.

The location was great, and the apartment was fantastic! Huge bedrooms, two large bathrooms, a comfortable lounge, and the kitchen was perfect for what we needed. Close to the city centre and walking distance to Edinburgh Castle. We loved it!

Plug in the bathroom sink and bath didn’t stop water from draining away. Shower screen let water leak into bathroom floor. Shower controls were a law unto themselves. Although there was a washing machine, nothing was supplied to be able to use it. For such a high end apartment we thought it was poor.

Lovely apartment in Edinburgh city centre

Apartment is lovely, very modern and kitted out with all we needed. We had our toddler with us and they provided a cot and high chair and also had us on the ground floor which was handy with the buggy. However there is steps up to the building which we had to carry the pram up. Its very spacious and comfortable, and only 15 min walk to the castle (up hill!) V close to lots of restaurants and bars also. I'd recommend it as somewhere to stay.

False advertising and condescending staff

The location is fabulous. Easy to walk everywhere.

The apartment is not advertised as is! The photos on the website are misleading, as the company has many rooms so you won’t necessarily get what you think you are booking. The website advertised a king bed but it is not! It is a queen bed. I went back to the office after checking in and asked one of the many receptionists about this error and she blamed booking.com for false advertising and then blamed me for using booking.com, and told me I should have booked directly with Destiny Scotland so I would have known that I wouldn’t be getting a king bed and that there are many apartments, not just the one on the website. She was rude and very condescending…she took no responsibility on behalf of the company for false adversing, and played the blame game. If the company didn’t already have my non-refundable money, I would have stayed somewhere else. The bed was super soft, and my husband and I cannot share a queen (I have a bad back), so I chose to put the sofa cushions on the floor and slept there while my husband slept on the bed. We spent a lot of money for this rental - and we were thoroughly disappointed!! Our apartment was on the top floor which is the 4th floor, which means walking a winding staircase with luggage - be aware of this inconvenience. The washing machine button got stuck with our clothes in it so we needed to jimmy it open with a knife. The washer/dryer is all in one and is so old that the wash/dry settings are warn off. So when we thought we were using just the drying cycle it re-washed the clothes.
