Comfortable, well equipped apartment

The location and facilities were brilliant, accessing the apartment was really easy. We loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom! Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived.

We really liked the apartment, just a small thing - the bathroom could benefit from a towel holder for a hand towel by the sink.

Nice flat, good value to money, just need to sort out the bathroom plugs.

Flat No1 has good facilities, street noise not to bad as it's on the corner of the main street, bed was comfortable. Choice of Shower or bath, tv in bed room & living area, overall a nice place to stay.

Bath plug was not easy to remove & the sink one was a nightmare, needs sorting out!! 😱 For some reason we had no hot water or heating on the last morning, may have had a power cut in the night as the timers time & day where wrong & it had lost it's program memory.

Really pleased with the apartment, plenty of space and very clean, with good facilities.

The water seemed to have some sort of a pump attached and found a couple of times the water stopped, until you closed the tap and turned it back on.

Home away from home with a castle view

I loved the location and view. I loved how the apartment was spacious we could imagine it was our home away from home. We ate dinner in the city and brought some home and ate it in the apartment and it was absolutely perfect

I wish there was a luggage closet at the location instead of the office. After traveling for so long walking to the office with all that luggage then having to walk back to pick it up then all the way to the property was definitely the worst part of the trip but was also completely manageable.

The location was prime, spacious with kitchen, cozzy bed

Stairs to climb with luggage was not easy, no option to store luggage, we requested for lock code chage for main door as someone was looking at the code while we ender, they were least bothered to change!

Brilliant Apartment in Gorgeous Edinburgh

The location was perfect for this trip. We wanted the Christmas Market and it was virtually on our doorstep. I asked for additional bedding and it was provided even though my request was a little late in the day. We have used Destiny Scotland a couple of times now and have been extremely happy with everything. Shame there are no breakfasts supplied but there are plenty of places in Edinburgh where we know we can get it. We will be back to Edinburgh again, many times and will look for this company again. Thank you.

We knew that this particular company did not provide breakfast so we were already aware. There are, however, facilities within the properties - we have stayed at more than one - where you can prepare and store food should you wish. There is also the fact that there are plenty of places around the town where we were able to get food. It is just a shame that nothing, not even cereal, is provided though. Appreciate that you can't please everybody though. No problem for us.

Lovely apartment

Close to everything we wanted to visit and very spacious apartment.

Sad that it’s close to a KFC so on the weekend we were there, there were rubbish bags outside the main door. We also had a hallway alarm go off early in the morning and late afternoon on the same day that seemed really random and annoying.

Overall very nice n tidy place to stay at Edinburgh

It is right at princess street (although at the end of street) but just next to JW distillery. All major spots are here. The castle and church is visible from room living area. It is a neat and beautiful place on 1st floor- NO LIFTS. Triple layer secure door is there. The room has all major amenities. Although i wish if they give a basic level of grocery like, butter, bread, eggs, salt and pepper … it would add a bit more to this stay as it is difficult to go out and get it on the day of check-in. Nearly whole of Edinburgh from capitol hill to dean village can be walked from here. EICC is 10 min walk. Overall a great stay.

The microwave was short circuiting when i stayed so could not use it. Also, we were not able to find the switch to switch it off.

Excellent location large flat

Location was perfect, you couldn’t get more central to all the bars and restaurants if you tried.

The only slight negative was we didn’t have hot water on arrival or the next morning, however once we called a repair was done within 10 minutes and we had hot water 30 minutes after that. Very quick to come and make sure everything was ok.

Stylish apt in a great location!

Loved the property and location. Everything was so new and nicely styled. The heated floors in the bathroom were a bonus as well! Wish we could have stayed more than one night!

We had a lovely few days in Edinburgh and the accommodation suited our needs.

It was warm, clean and comfortable. The toiletries were of a high standard.

Really enjoyable, we only wish we were closer so we could return more often.

We loved our stay and would recommend it to others. Communication was excellent, location good (everything was walkable) and the property was much bigger than expected. It was very clean.

A small bolt lock on the inside of the main door would have been useful for child safety purposes. Our small daughter woke up in the night, got confused and opened the front door. Thankfully she realised in time but if she had gone outside she would have locked herself out without our knowledge.

Great appartement but room nr.5 noisy

Very clean, modern and complete appartement on walking distance to old town and castle.

1. I should have received the 4-digit access code via e-mail 3 days in advance but did not receive that (also not in spam folder). I had to call the agency to understand what the code was, it is the last 4 digits of your contact number which is also mentioned in the Destiny Schotland app. Although I receive a notification via booking about that app 10 days in advance. The booking message to me states that there is a link to the app in thge bottom of that message but there is no link. I had to find the app myself in the app store. 2. We stayed in room nr. 5 and it is located in the building on the street side of South Charlotte street. Unfortunately it is a noisy room (even with all windows closed) as busses, trams and cars are clearly noticable starting at 6AM and end late in the evening. Earplugs recommended.

Excellent accomodation. Spotlessly clean. Small but ideal for short breaks. Central.

The apartment was not as well appointed as some of the other apartments we have stayed in with destiny. The microwave was, too high up. I would not have been able to clean it. Not great from a safety aspect, plates with very hot food being brought out over your head. Very dangerous, should rethink the microwave position. Instructions for the white goods would also be an advantage. Hope this helps

Facilities were fine but the location is excellent not opposite the square and in fact on a major road.

The space … the location was brilliant. Buses and trams exactly ran outside.

The address is not opposite Charlotte Square and it took some time and redirection to find it. It is next to KFC towards a major road. The double glazing or shut windows kept out the sound but the room was stuffy.

Central apartment in Edinburgh

Our apartment was very easy to check-in to and it was large and comfortable for our party of 3. Destiney Scotland provided thorough instructions and was very communicative. The one thing they did not communicate was that if you store your luggage at their office, make sure to pick up before 5pm as they will lock up and you will have to pick up the next morning. It was not a huge issue, the lady that was assisting us was very proactive in calling us to let us know and waited for us to retrieve our luggage before closing up for the day. As far as the apartment we actually had more room than we needed but it was awesome to have the extra storage space. The apartment provided everything we needed to not only sleep comfortably, but also prepare meals if we needed to. Our only issue was that, although we visited during a cooler time period, the apartment had no A/C and it could get warm and stuffy. The rooms, including the living room and kitchen were all separated by doors to control the climate of each space individually. Access to the apartment is walkable friendly and just a few minutes from the nearest bus stop. To catch the tram, it is a bit of a further walk but not a problem. We enjoyed the centralized location the allowed us to explore both the Old Town and New Town pretty well. We would stay here again on our next visit for sure!

Good for short stay

Location. We walked everywhere. Lots of coffee shops, restaurants, and shops nearby. The airport tram and bus stops are a few blocks away. Amenities starter kit with coffee pods, teas, soap and laundry detergent are appreciated. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the dryer to work. Quick response and resolution from management when we have questions.

Windows are thin and we can hear people talking in the busy streets downstairs. Also, construction across the street with jackhammering past midnight. To be fair, it was beyond the landlord’s control but it was quite annoying the first night we got there. There were no instructions or manuals to use the appliances and the towel warmer didn’t work fur us.

Beautiful apartment overlooking Princes St Gardens

This apartment was extremely comfortable, well managed and in a great location. My daughter and I stayed and both enjoyed the ease of exploring the city. Just around the corner on Rose street we found some nice restaurants. The flat overlooked Princes St Gardens and busses and trams were literally at our feet. It was extremely secure, with passcodes needed at 3 entries. USB ports at bedside were very handy.

If you have heavy luggage the stairs could be difficult. We were also provided salt and pepper grinders with no salt or pepper…(just a little thing really).
