Dragon Suites Luxury Apartments at 9 Albyn Place

It was a beautiful place - spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen island was stunning and fully equipped with everything I needed. The bathroom was equally beautiful and incredibly relaxing, with both a separate shower and bathtub, plus double sinks.

A few areas could be improved. Bedroom slippers were not provided, so we had to either keep our shoes on indoors or walk barefoot, and the floors felt quite cold. The bathroom floor was not very clean when we arrived. It looked like there was some soap residue and could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The bedsheet and one of the pillows also had stains, and there was a strand of hair on one of the pillows. I simply set that pillow aside and didn’t use it. During our stay, the weather was unusually hot. A rotating fan was provided, but unfortunately it wasn’t working, so we had to keep the bedroom windows open for ventilation instead. There were no spare garbage bags in the apartment, so we had to request one during our stay. Lastly, the opening and closing of doors from neighbouring apartments could be heard quite clearly. I understand this is probably unavoidable, as the entrance doors are quite heavy.

Not having a lift. Carrying heavy suitcases to upper levels by hand was difficult.

Extremely clean, safe, comfortable and modern. Excellent location.

For the price that we paid … we were on the third floor of the terrace with stairs and no lift. The windows were high up on the wall so we couldn’t see out. It was hot and there was no A/C. All of these are features of New Town terraces but the price we paid was 5 star equivalent. They messaged us to say there were “initial supplies for self catering”. I thought this meant bacon and eggs … it means four tea bags and two biscuits.
