A lot bigger than what we thought - fantastic place! Very central, clean and comfortable.

The property is not in a busy area (which was lovely), but also very close to walk to main areas - we walked most places, or had public transport. The house was lovely and just what we needed being a family of 6 and travelling for a while, so having space was amazing. The lounge and kitchen area was great to relax in and had everything we needed. We had a lock issue one night and the hosts responded and dealt with the issue immediately.

Everything was great, the only comment would be that the back door in the lounge area had no cover/curtain so was exposed to a car park, but we barely saw anyone so wasn't a big issue.

Homey wonderful place but be prepared for stairs

This was an adorable little apartment in a very good location. It was really nice to stay in a place with a full kitchen, dishwasher and clothes washer. We stayed over New Year's and had planned to stay in on new Year's day so it was nice to be able to cook meals and chill out watching TV. I was also able to wash our clothes at no additional cost which was a real game changer for us. Also kudos on providing actually decent pillows on the bed. I normally dread the thin pillows with zero support that we usually encounter in hotels but these were perfect.

My only complaint was that we stayed in the Kenna suite on the second floor but this apartment also has stairs from the door on the second floor up to the actual apartment. That was a lot of stairs especially if you are trying to climb them after a few whiskey tastings. But on the flip side because we were so high up the view was gorgeous and it felt really private. Also metal cabinets for bedside tables was a problem any time you set something on them you risk waking your partner up.

Immaculate apartment and a beautiful area

The apartment was absolutely beautiful - huge, well furnished, warm, and immaculately clean. Easier entry, good communication, and the luggage store was really helpful.

Nothing, we like the West End, although some people might find it a bit of a walk to the Old Town. When we arrived we noticed the noise from the street - it’s not a busy road at all, but Edinburghs cobbles make traffic sound noisier! But the bedroom is at the back, and was completely silent at night.

Good location and facilities.

Travel cot doesn’t come with a mattress. The second bed (sofa bed) is very uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a bed of bricks with a sheet over it. We asked if it was possible to check in an hour early, there was a £30 charge for this. On check out day we received a message to say if we checked out late we would be charged £50. We didn’t find this very welcoming.

Overall is great place to stay, worthy the value!

The property is very clean. There is washer/dryer, which is clean and easy to use! Location is perfect! Close to old town and new town!

No microwave, but stove works great! No escalator. In unit, there are two sets of stairs too. Light is flickering but other lamp or lights working perfect!

I get check in times are what they are but Iv never been asked to pay £30 for an earlier check in by 2 hours and Iv stayed many hotels/apartments. A little flexibility when possible would be good. Other than that it’s a great place.

I absolutely loved how incredibly clean the apartment was — every little detail, every corner was spotless! It felt so neat and luxurious. The location was also perfect: not too far from the city centre, yet peaceful and quiet, away from all the noise. I really enjoyed waking up in the morning, grabbing a coffee and a pastry from a nearby café just a few minutes’ walk away, and exploring the beautiful surroundings. There’s even a stunning old church nearby that gives total Harry Potter vibes! Everything about this place was perfect — the cleanliness, the comfort, and the location. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Edinburgh, and I’ll be recommending it to friends and family.

Honestly, everything was absolutely perfect! The only tiny thing worth mentioning is that the apartment is on the top floor, and carrying our large, heavy luggage up the stairs was quite the workout 😄. It’s not a big issue at all — just something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with heavy bags. That said, I completely understand why there’s no elevator — it would take away from the beautiful historical charm of the building. I’d happily carry my bags up again rather than lose that lovely authentic vibe!

We had a fantastic stay at Dragon Suites Hydra. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable, with excellent facilities that made us feel right at home. The space was well laid out and beautifully maintained, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is ideal, quiet, and close to shops restaurants and bars.

I was travelling on my own & didn’t like the fact that there wasn’t an inside bolt for the door. All the doors worked on a key pad so as a lone female I felt a little vulnerable at night. Anyone with the code could access my apartment. There wasn’t a way to lock internally.

Good apartment ,but is it for that price ?

Location in the Embassy district, nearby some nice coffee bars and pubs worth of visit. Apartment is big, and was nice and quiet.

Ridiculously strict late check in and early check out. For luxury price , pretty much big kitchen , with nothing in it - 4 coffee for 3 night - so you have half a cup for each day. For luxury price ,pretty much not clean windows. I dont know does there work real people or communication is AI formulated.

Beautiful and stylish apartment- loved the finishings. Very spacious with big rooms, living rooms, kitchen, bathroom etc. Neighborhood was very quiet and central. An overall stunning apartment.

I travel extremely frequently and hotels/apartments tend to be very flexible on early check in or late check out if required- usually 1-2 hours is no problem. The hosts were extremely pedantic and it meant I just had to stand outside for hours instead of them allowing any flexibility (was given 10 minutes). Left a bad taste!

Nice accommodation in a quiet part of town

It's in a quiet location but near all the action. Perfect for us. Right near St Mary's episcopal cathedral.

I guess I don't understand "serviced apartment". We were informed that if we ran out of coffee pods, we had to buy our own. Same with toilet paper. So does "serviced" just mean you're cleaning it after we go? That's a given, isn't it?

Elegant penthouse.

This was a very luxurious stay. The amenities are fantastic and the location is in a very clean neighbourhood in walking distance to the city centre. This enabled us to use park and ride to avoid heavy parking costs. The apartment we had was on the top floor, so about 70 steps, which may be an issue for some. But for us, it was great and worth it. Btw the staircase is beautiful.

Beautiful apartment.

Beautiful large apartment. Plenty of space. Huge bathroom and living areas.

Disappointed there was no washing pods for the washing machine. It said there would be 2x left and we travelled with an infant and needed to do washing when we got in but couldn't. We paid extra for an early check in to do this. But had to leave to go buy washing stuff. The TV also was slanted on the wall and we couldn't get the remote to operate properly- was sticking. It might seem small but for the price we paid, we needed these small things to keep our trip go smoothly and we're relying on TV for evening entertainment as we couldn't go out.

Great place to stay, as long as you don’t mind carrying your luggage up 4 flights of stairs!

Once you finally make it up the 4 flights of stairs with your luggage, this is a lovely, comfortable apartment. It’s in a great neighborhood for walking (however not near the medieval mile) and has a great view. The beds are comfortable, and the master bedroom has a large beautiful bathroom. The kitchen had a supply of coffee and tea and It was really nice to have 3 bathrooms when getting ready to go out. The code to get into the building and the apartment worked well and it was nice to have a place to leave our luggage after check out, but before we left the city.

The only reason I wouldn’t give this apartment a 10 is because it’s on the 4th floor and there is no lift. Mostly the problem is that it doesn’t state this anywhere in the description. My husband is 83 with bad knees so I’d have never booked us here if I’d known this. They say they give you this info AFTER you book your stay, but I never saw this info. There’s not much room to hang clothes or unpack and also a minor irritant that the bedroom doors can’t be left open, but it’s not a huge deal.

Complete lack of communication...Phonecalls/emails not responded to during our stay ( calls made during office hours). Fridge/Dishwasher not working. Shower tray flooding as water not draining away.

Brilliant apartment, as long as you have considerate neighbours.

The property had excellent facilities, especially the bath & shower! There is plenty of room & the apartment is well located in a quiet area which was a 20 minute walk from the city centre.

The property has wooden floors & as we were located in the ground floor apartment, there was a huge amount of noise (mainly heavy footsteps) from the apartment above. The front door is also heavy & can be noisy if not shut considerately.

It is a lovely property, clean, excellent facilities and very comfortable.

There should be more / larger bins outside to dispose of rubbish, which was overflowing into the street. One of the toilets was not working properly - the en-suite in the main bedroom. It would have been nice to have been able to sit outside around the back. Unfortunately, there was not seating and the path was overgrown with weeds.

Nice choices close to desirable locations

Great location / comfy living space

The room with the twin beds had the narrowest of aisles between the two. This required side stepping to get in and out of the bed, which was a challenge for middle of the night bathroom stops. The interior doors would not stay open on their own and had to be propped open with luggage. Doorstop wedges would’ve been in inexpensive and well appreciated addition. There were no napkins or paper towels to get us started.

The apartment was modern, clean and spacious. Really nicely designed. The service from the host was excellent from start to finish. The location was great, quiet enough as it was just set aside from the centre of town but walking distance from all major attractions. Would highly recommend!

Lovely apartment, terrible host and customer service

Well presented, spacious.

The apartment upstairs kept us and our young child awake most of the night banging around and moving furniture. The staff/host was rude, dismissive and unhelpful when contacted. Not worth the money we paid.
