About this apartment rental
A beautiful newly restored Victorian garden level property with a large wrap around private courtyard. The private front entrance is located on the lower ground floor of Drumsheugh House, situated on the prestigious Drumsheugh Gardens, in the leafy West End of Edinburgh. This quiet street is in the centre of the city; only a five minute walk to Princes Street, and a fifteen minute walk to the Royal Mile.
The space
Hall
Upon entry you will be welcomed by an original terrazzo stone tiled hallway. The hallway is the backbone of the property, almost all rooms can be accessed via this space.
Kitchen/Dining
The largest room in the property is the spacious modern kitchen/dining/sitting room. The sophisticated sitting area is perfect for that pre dinner rendezvous where you can devour a large dry martini made from the neighbouring drinks tray that is just an arms reach away. The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new appliances, including a Nespresso coffee machine and an eclectic mix of different tea bags.
Master Bedroom & En-Suite
The master bedroom (the 'blue' room) has a king size four poster bed, that sits majestically surrounded by a large writing desk, antique wardrobe and chest of drawers. This offers plenty of storage space for all your glamorous closet needs. The master bedroom boasts a marbled tiled en-suite bathroom with a walk-in wet room style shower.
Bedrooms
There are two further bedrooms. The second double bedroom (the 'green' room) fashions another four poster bed, with a chest of drawers and a bamboo writing desk. The third cosy bedroom (the 'pink' room) has two single beds and a unique striped fabric tented wardrobe. The bed linen throughout the property is 800 thread count Egyptian cotton, which is complimented with many quintessentially Scottish tartan wool blankets, for those chilly scottish nights.
Bathroom
A giant walk-in monsoon shower is cocooned by glass and marble, with monochromatic marble tiles on the floor. There are 600GSM towels provided throughout along with Lewis & Cole shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.
TV Room
Upstairs, nestled away, you will find a snug tv room with dimmable lights and a 65 inch TV. The TV includes Sky cinema, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and much more. The sofa can be transformed into a double bed at night time to sleep two extra guests, upon prearranged request.
Table Tennis Room
At the back of the property you will find a table tennis room for epic tournaments.
Courtyard
From the private front door entrance you can access the courtyard which is littered with several seating areas and a large table to seat 6 for alfresco dining in the summer nights.
Guest access
To access the property you will descend private steps into the large garden courtyard. The front door is automatically lit for access and safety. The keys will be left in a lock box which will allow you to unlock the potential of a magical stay in one of the best cities in the world!
