Stay was good

Location was really good and central to go to Rugby.

The windows were a bit dated and didnt close, hence the apartment was pretty cold.

Spacious but needs improving

Very spacious! Nice views!

A couple of things need improving! 1. Carpet removed from toilets as smells like stale urine was the big one for me. 2. The shower unit blows hot and cold and not very powerful. 3. Dampness in the ceiling of bedroom beside bathroom. It's not great for copd father who had to move. 4. Outside area needs to be cleaned as fag packet and fag butt's all over the floor from previous guests. 5. Lots of unused clutter had been dumped outside in the roof top garden area. Could be binned or put in a shed. We had a small child who liked to explore. 6. The door to the rooftop garden does not locked. 7. Overall cleanliness could be improved, especially in the kitchen. Felt greasey film on worktops. 8. Half of the flat was freezing, and the other side was nice and warm. We avoided that part of the flat!

Size

Not the relaxing apartment I was expecting or sold. Whilst the apartment is a short bus, tram or Uber into town. Disappointing to arrive at the property location only to be greeted with the strong smell of urine on the communal staircase. Once taking the lift to the 6th floor we arrived and the stairs to the apartment the smell of damp and musty carpet was unbearable. I purchased fabric freshener to try and combat the god awful smell. Once in the apartment, it was tidy but didn’t feel particularly clean. Whist beds had fresh linen, they did still smell unclean, maybe some fabric softener and storage of linen needs to be addressed. Security needs to be addressed. The front door chain needs replacing as it cannot be used. Some windows were unable to close and the door leading onto the roof top terrace didn’t not shut or lock. As a group of young ladies we didn’t feel very safe. There is also another entrance to the apartment we were not made aware of during our stay. Needless to say, this made us very nervous. If the carpets were deep cleaned along with the rest of the property and security issues fixed the property itself would be nice But only if you could pick it up and move it to a nice privately owed block.

Ok inside ..

Bedrooms clean, kitchen brilliant, view from outside area brilliant, parking right outside, very quiet, bright and spacious. Great for a group, there was a lift for the oldies.

The outside is not good, the entrance is not nice from the street (which not much can be done about) and the last little stair way from the lift to the door to the apartment is worrying. The balcony area is a mess, the bins in the kitchen were full and there was no spare loo roll and it was quite difficult retrieving the key.

Great experience

The apartment was huge, plenty of space for all 10 of us. Enough dishes, cutlery and cups/glasses for us all. Dishwasher and laundry all easy to use and new. Lovely views from the terrace. We had a couple of issues and the owners were happy to help, answered the phone when we called. Great experience and we would book again.

No cheap parking, but if you use Just Park, the Sainsbury parking is 2 mins walk and a very fair price.
