Great location and beautiful apartment

Beautifully decorated, spacious and clean apartment. Everything you need including fancy toiletries in the bathroom. Tea and coffee in the kitchen and a cosy corner sofa in the lounge. Check in was easy and luggage store handy for bags and cases. Central location and close to everything you need.

The shower and sink drainage system is blocked water inthe showers was nearly over flowing,the sinks had problems draining. I would suggest that there must be hair blocking the pipes and would recommend pouring some bottles of drainage cleaner down there

Neat and tidy.

NOISE. Don't stay here unless you have good ear plugs or are a very sound sleeper. Even the under 30s in our family were disturbed during the night. Place needs double windows. The loungeroom also had continuous noise from the ventilation.

It needs double glazing! The Royal Mile is very busy with loud, late opening bars and noisy traffic in the early hours too. Even with windows closed the noise was unbearable. None of us slept well at all.

The perfect location with everything within walking distance. Very cute, clean and comfortable accommodation. We especially appreciated finding two fans to use! All the natural light was beautiful.

The shower in the main bedroom was very slick, we had to put a towel down to stand on to prevent slipping. Nothing else was an issue.

We were emailed a code before we arrived which served to enter the building, the lift & our room.

The pillows & the sofa let down the comfort. The pillows were quite thin and not in keeping with this excellent accommodation! Also the sofa wasn’t comfortable to sit on. Very hard.

Fabulous location, pleasant accommodations.

The location could not have been more convenient: out the door and onto the Royal Mile. The apartment was fairly well equipped and provided a decently sized gathering area. It was clean and comfortable.

Somehow, the door code was not sent to us before check in. We texted and emailed, but received no answer. We had to resort to waiting outside and asking people coming out what the gate code was and then trying the code on each door until we found our apartment. Once inside, all was fine.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Service and No Accountability

I stayed in Flat 5 at Destiny Scotland – Royal Mile for 3 nights (24–27 May 2025) and paid £1500, expecting a premium experience. Unfortunately, the stay was far from acceptable. The apartment was not properly cleaned, which triggered allergic reactions like itching and sneezing among our group. The WiFi and TV did not work at all, making it difficult to relax or enjoy our stay. One bedroom was unusable due to hot air blowing in constantly from the neighboring building’s external air conditioning units, making it feel suffocating. We also had a full rubbish bin with no clear guidance on where to dispose of it, and despite repeated efforts to contact the team by phone, no one answered. To make matters worse, when staff finally attempted a visit, they spoke to a 7-year-old child who didn’t speak English fluently and then left without attempting to reach me directly—despite having my contact number. This was later used as an excuse to deny compensation. I raised all these issues during the stay and after, only to receive a dismissive response and complete refusal to offer any goodwill gesture or refund. Their customer service was slow, unhelpful, and defensive throughout. For a property marketed as luxury and priced at this level, the service was well below standard. I would not recommend this accommodation to others and strongly suggest looking elsewhere where guest care and accountability actually matter.
