    The Ibis is a good chain in my mind, and this hotel keeps that perception alive. It's not 5 star, but it is clean, comfortable, well appointed and convienitent. Hotel accommodation in Edinburgh is generally expensive, so finding good value is important.

    Went there during the fringe festival so the rates were a bit ridiculous- location was excellent just on the royal mile, but could be quite noisy during the festival period.

    I had a room on the sixth floor. I only had a view on the way to the lifts but that’s okay. The room was bright and I was able to have the windows open. The room clean! And quiet. There was a table I could use as a desk, a wardrobe with shelves in the side. There was a kettle with tea, coffee, and milk. The bathroom was comfortable. As a knitter, I loved the wall covering over the bed. 😆The location was excellent. Sights to see, cafés, restaurants, and shops. There was a piper on the Royal Mile and I got to enjoy his playing in my room with the window open. Not too loud! But if you enjoy the pipes, you could hear him. My stay was short but I really appreciated my room.

    *1/5 Stars - Disappointing Experience at Ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile* My recent stay at Ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile was a complete disappointment. The hotel's breakfast was subpar, with limited options and poor quality food. The staff's attitude was rude and unhelpful, and when I brought my concerns to the manager's attention, they dismissed me with a half-hearted apology and a "sorry, we can't" attitude. The intercom service was overpriced, and the room was tiny and not worth the money I paid. Overall, my experience was terrible, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The lack of customer care and poor service made my stay unbearable. Until they improve, I wouldn't stay here again. *Avoid at all costs!*
