Was not as advertised. Room extremely small. Website photo shows room as being large not small as it really was. Difficult to drive to and find. No bar as advertised. No luggage assistance in morning. Breakfast was standard.

Very nice hotel centrally located in Como. Very convenient to many restaurants and only a few blocks from the lake and the ferry, ferry ticket office, and the small boat pier. Room was comfortable, air conditioned, with very nice bathroom features. The breakfast had a good selection of choices, some fresh fruit, good coffee. Staff was very friendly and professional. The quick access to the lakefront was greatly appreciated.

Extremely clean and beautiful hotel rooms. Bathrooms and beds were premium quality. Front desk was very helpful and provided excellent tips for local laundry and getting to train station. The best selection of breakfast buffet and special mention to the kitchen staff and chefs - they made excellent made to order omelets and the best coffees! Will visit again! Highly recommended! Upgraded room, larger than most in Como. Easy walk from the train station and the ferry. Air-conditioning was on in April, which was a plus. In room refrigerator and minibar. Plenty of storage and nice bathrooms. Breakfast had a lot of choices including omelets made to order. Great neighborhood.

Nice room but the a/c had been turned off and the room was v.hot. Opening the window allowed the noise from the street below into the room. The noise was not constant, but still irritating at 2am. However, staff v.helpful and a superb location. Would I go back - yes.

For the price, this was definitely worth it. We were no more than five minutes from the port to catch a ferry to Bellagio. It is an EASY and direct walk from the train station. The last time I stayed in Como, my hotel was nicer, but was much further away. The location alone, makes this hotel worth it. The alley way outside stunk a bit, but I think that was because it was trash day. The staff was nice, the bathrooms were clean and looked new, and the accommodations were adequate. When I booked, my expectations were a bit lower (as we went for the cheapest available), and I was very much pleased with what we got! I'd recommend this hotel to those who are budget conscious and want a nice place to stay.

Como's centro has several delightful piazza - near the water is Piazza Cavour, a little further in from the lake is Piazza Allesandro Volta, and then another block in there is Piazza Mazzini. The loveliest of the 3 is Volta - and the Hotel Plinius is just down the street from Piazza Volta . A single room taken for 4 nights was comfortable, clean, if not an ample room, it was an economical use of space and the bed was not bad at all - but most of all, an ample bathroom with new fixtures and enogh space to move around. Not always typical in hotels of thuis type in Italia.

My partner and I travelled to Como to mountain bike in the adjacent area. Fantastic location of the hotel right in the middle of old walled area of town with everything at the doorstep. For what we were paying per night, we felt it was expensive as the room was definitely on the small side (just enough room to walk around the bed) - but it was very clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast was great. Parking a problem in the town in general. Otherwise a great weekend

The hotel is located in a quiet street in the old part of Como city, close to the lake and to most local attractions. My single room was extremely small and the heating system made it too hot and dry - as the temperature control did not work the only way to sleep was to open the window to let cold air in. Breakfast was pretty good; internet connections was not working. Overall, it could have been a good deal but the size and comfort of the room were below average.

The hotel was lovely - the rooms were beautiful and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. There was a nice spread for breakfast with just about anything you could want from a continental breakfast. Location was ideal as it was about 3 minutes walk from the port and very near the water. The walk from the train station was very easy as well. The room was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The bathrooms were among the nicest I have encountered in Europe with excellent water pressure in the shower. Everything about this stay was great and it was perfectly suited to setting the scene for my relaxing weekend getaway - would definitely stay here again!
