    Not only was the hotel steps from the best restaurants, churches and sites Bologna has to offer….but the breakfast included the BEST cappuccino and espressos I’ve had during my weeks all over Italy! The bests are firm in all of Italy, including here. The room was small but comfortable and beautifully decorated. I loved the history of the hotel and surrounding area provided in room.

    Classy boutique style individual rooms served by a two person lift. Literally down the side of the Cathedral so room noise was almost absent. A nice touch being powered black out curtains, down side no bedroom night light (small dim light to aid traversing to the wee room in the middle of the night) without stubbing ones toes or engaging in a full light up of the quirky room. Breakfast is perfectly adequate and substantial if you like a sweet to start the day. An iron and board in the room may be an addition to think about for the future but the staff made life very easy and the hotel is minutes from the major attractions and 20 mins from teh train station by foot. Easy stuff to walk off the pasta!
