Friendly staff and good food

Have staying here before in 2018 and loved it. They now have a new restaurant and bar which are excellent. The staff as before very helpful and most have good English. I will certainly be back hopefully next year.

Nice, except for forcing us to pay for their mistake, which left a bad taste in my mouth.

The location was terrific and the hotel was nice. Our room was small but it was well furnished and the bathroom was large.

The hotel told us when we arrived that breakfast was included in our rate. They even gave us a card that said that the breakfast was included. However, after we served ourselves breakfast, they told us that breakfast was not included in our booking and we would have to pay 35 euros per person for the two breakfasts. After they acknowledged that they had misinformed us, they agreed to give us a 50% discount on the breakfast, but they said that was the best they could do. As a result, we ended up paying approximately $40 for breakfasts that we didn't want and had only eaten because they said it was included. In my 40 years of staying at hotels, I have never previously had a hotel charge me for a mistake that they acknowledged was their fault.

High quality comfortable hotel in the middle of Bologna's city centre.

Hotel personnel is very welcoming, nice, available and helpful. I was impressed by the fact that the electric vehicle charging in the hotel's garage is free. The room was good for a single person, and clean. Location was perfect given how central it was.

- The front desk team were warm and welcoming and went above and beyond to share a helpful overview of Bologna and recommendations of places of interest - We were also shown to our rooms, bags were already waiting for us in the room and we were given full room/ hotel orientation - The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable

The location was exceptional. The hotel was very clean

The front desk staff was useless. They were unable to help us with a number of requests, including helping us with side tours. When we asked on two occasions for a taxi or a car to get from place to place, they told us to get an Uber. The toilet paper was like sandpaper, the towels and robes were like burlap, and the housekeeping staff did not stock enough tissue, toilet paper or body was requiring us to call to replenish on a few occasions.

Superb hotel in the heart of Bologna.

Beautiful historic hotel, perfectly located in the old town centre, that we just had to stay at thanks to Rick Stein's Long Weekend episode! Our room was very well appointed, if compact (as expected!), and the overall look and feel of the hotel was of a very high quality. The staff were extremely attentive, and went above and beyond to help us a number of times.

The only criticism we had was that when we arrived, to our dismay we found that the highly anticipated restaurant was not open for lunch or dinner. Even though various posters around the hotel promoting the restaurant listed it as open daily, it was in fact closed for the summer period. At the very least, that should have been advised to us when we booked.

I already filled in the survey in the room. I believe you should have more fresh juices and yogurt - not jars of them . Too commercial. The breakfast room was too quiet and uneventful- one girl serving and no sign of a chef . The air conditioning in the bedroom was excellent.

Excellent hotel, highly recommended

This hotel is excellent. They have thought of everything. Excellent room, comfy beds and pillows, light switches are positioned where you would expect them, big safe in a convenient location, night light in a bathroom, everything. They also have a fabulous breakfast, and a very friendly stuff. Did I mention the ideal location? Now I sound like I am being paid by the hotel, but it is really a good hotel.
