A property with charm and character that more than compensates for the over 30 steps to climb after exiting the lift. The room I had was spacious with a king sized bed and a generous sized bathroom. The add ons that go with the booking are generous. A full length mirror and a space for hanging longer clothes would have been a welcome addition. A personal thank you to Eduardo who went above and beyond the call of duty to help me with a personal mishap.
As I have claustrophobia I struggled with 2 skylights but no windows in the room. However the break out area was welcome as a place to relax. The breakfast cafe seemed dismissive of a person with a token in comparison with the standard of service they offered other customers. However food and coffee were excellent.

Position is excellent for Bologna main tourism sites. Many bars, cafes and restaurants in close proximity. Quirky property with character consistent with its age and location. Family wine production is available to try and to purchase on site (recommended). Breakfast is at a local cafe c100m away (food good).
The property is on the 4th floor. The lift only goes to 3rd floor which was a challenge with cases (and, more broadly, may not suit persons with accessibility issues). A few minor 'maintenance' issues consistent with age of building.
