They charged me 25 euro to replace a cheap electronic key card that I had mislaid. The does not seem fair !!

Pleasantly confortable, best location, real nice street and pleasant staff

The location, the comfort of the room and the window blinds, which made the room fully dark at night. Really nice breakfast with packed snacks to bring with you out.

The electricity system in the room (keep having issues with my iphone high speed charger) and the light buttons, and the fact that the bathroom lights were turned on by sensors and I could not turned it off. But all of this was manageable

Excellent location, yet pleasantly quiet older style rooms. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast had variety. Staff were friendly and helpful

Really could use a box of tissues in each room. Water pressure for the showers not great. Whilst wool blankets are warm and appropriate for winter, I personally dislike them exposed on the bed as they are here as I don’t think they get washed every time and it builds up dust and bacteria from repeated use. The lights and fan for the bathroom are automatic, so if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night, be prepared to have glaring light and fan noise for about 10minutes before it auto switches off.

Felt very safe and secure

Perfect location for our pre cruise weekend in Bologna. We hired a private driver from the airport and to the port. Didn’t need a car. Did wine tours and had some delicious dinners within walking distance from the hotel. Just perfect.

With the window open you can see/hear in the apartments next to you. Like 10 feet. Had to keep windows closed even though I wanted fresh air.

The perfect place to stay in Bologna

Ten steps and you're on Piazza Maggiore. A ten-minute walk and you're in the heart of the university district. Half an hour's leisurely stroll under the porticoes and you're at the station. Hotel Roma is the perfect place to enjoy Bologna. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, generous continental breakfast, good Wi-Fi—what more could you want? The interior of this hotel is such that it fills you with a sense of calm and history.

The only minor-minor comment is about the size of the shower cabins—thin and fit people won't notice it, but I found it a bit cramped around the hips... :)

I loved Bologna and for sure my stay at this lovely hotel helped. A shortish stay, but I really enjoyed myself 🎉🎉

Super central location, but away from too much hectic bustle. Historical settings and sitting areas. Calm, efficient, helpful and charming staff. Pleasant, interesting decor. Great breakfast

House keeping was slow - my second floor room was not cleaned until mid/late afternoon. The internet frustratingly dropped a couple of times. The staff tried to rectify it, but in the end I went out for a while to leave them to it. When I returned it was sorted.

Location is perfect . At the heart of the city. Only 20 min walking distance to train station. Breakfast was very good maybe not perfect but when you consider the value that you pay that os excellent

The room was beautiful and big, as was the bathroom. The balcony was lovely. It was so lovely to sit out there and hear the bustle of the streets and see Piazza Nettuno. Breakfast in the hotel was terrific: a great selection. Staff was very helpful.

Fantastic location!! Walking distance to all Bologna had to offer:) Every member of the staff was exceptional. Personable, helpful, and kind about how little Italian we spoke. The front desk staff went above and beyond on our check out day! Storing our luggage and continued to help us past our checkout time. The wait staff at the restaurant greeted us each morning with a smile and a pleasant, “buongiorno”

Fantastic hotel!

The hotel is in a fantastic location - right next to Piazza Maggiore, the main square of the city. The room was extremely quiet and spacious. It had automatic blinds which closed all the way so it was really dark so I slept really well. The breakfast was excellent and had everything you needed.

I thought that 175+ Euros per night was a bit overpriced but I everything else was outstanding so I would stay here again.

I would have preferred a shower to a bath (there was a bath with shower attachment, but no curtain, so a shower was impractical without wetting the whole floor). Nightmare to drive to, due to labyrinthine roads and traffic regulations.

Nice hotel, I would give it a chance next time again

Location towards the city and it was 10mins walk to the bus stop from where we took a bus to the airport. Very nice and friendly staff. Our room was not properly cleaned up when we arrived so when we said and asked the receptionist about that, they immediately sent the cleaner again.

Rooms looked a little big dirty due to very old carpet and the impression from the room was weird due to ugly and dark wall paintings. I can imagine a nicely and welcoming looking room.

The only thing that did not live up to expectations was the breakfast. Small selection, boring fruit table and dining room environment that does not correspond to the rest of the hotel.
