Absolutely ideal location for exploring Bologna. Beautiful hotel, helpful staff and a nice breakfast included. Wifi was stable. Everything was clean. The bed wasn’t too comfortable, but it’s Italy, none of the beds are comfortable. I would seriously consider staying here the next time I go to Bologna.

The location of this charming hotel cannot be beat. And the value is excellent. Staff was wonderful--helpful, and attentive. The breakfast had a great variety of beverages, cheeses, fruits, eggs, pastries, bread, yogurt, and a variety of jams, etc. The coffee service was excellent This is an older hotel, a standard room for two that we had was tight quarters though very. comfortable. Each time we entered the room it had a musty odor that appeared to be coming from the shower or air-conditioning we could not figure it out. After a few minutes, it dissipated likely because the air conditioning kicks on when you insert your key up upon returning to the room. I'd stay here again for the location and service.

Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The reviews of this hotel are extremely deceiving though. There is not a rooftop bar or restaurant. On occasion they host dinners there which tend to be only a few times a year. Overall decent stay and location was great but wouldn’t stay here again.

We’re given instructions to drive there. Had a spot to drop off luggage and they then took car to parking garage. Staff was great and so was room. Breakfast was great. I absolutely love this hotel which is perfectly located right in the historical centre in a beautiful building. It is convenient for everything - dining, historical sites and transport. This was my second time staying there. The rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you need and the staff are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Thankyou for a great stay.

Starting with the good points, of which there were very few! The location of this hotel is great and right in the centre of Bologna. The breakfast was also really good. Unfortunately, we found the reception staff to be quite unfriendly, when we first entered the hotel to check in the 2 reception staff barely looked up from their computer screens to welcome us. The room itself was spacious but outdated & not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The bathroom had not been fully cleaned and there was what looked like a vomit (or potentially worse) stain on the bidet! Overall I wouldn’t return or recommend unfortunately.

Hotel Roma is NOT a 4* hotel, it is 3*. Very poor personal care kit, only a shower cap, a mini shoe sponge, really mini soaps and shampoos. No coffee maker, only a boiler with tea (in Italy!!!), no conditioner nor body lotion, bath gel or facial tissues Good breakfast, very good location and excellent attention in the reception.

Hotel Roma is the perfect hotel to stay at, especially if only in Bologna for a short stay of a few days. The convenient location cannot be beat - it's right in the center of all the main attractions making for an easy stay. The free breakfast every day was very much appreciated and there was a good variety of options. The staff were very helpful and accomodating. We felt very safe staying in this location in Bologna. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel - it's the best!

You’re literally at the heart of Bologna and close to everything! That said, bring earplugs if you can’t sleep with street noise. Hotel looks a little old but decent and comfortable. Lost a hotel key and had to pay €25, which I thought was quite outdated. Staff are friendly and help you with booking a taxi.

Hotel Roma Review - Bologna I recently stayed at Hotel Roma in Bologna and, to be honest, my experience was a mixed bag. When I booked our stay, I was thrilled about the location in the historic city center and the hotel's storied past. However, my excitement quickly waned as the stay unfolded. Upon arrival, we were welcomed promptly, and the check-in process was smooth, which set a positive tone. However, I did find it surprising that no assistance was offered to help us with our luggage to our room, especially considering this is advertised as a 4-star establishment. The room itself was spacious, complete with a desk and a cozy chair, but we had booked a queen bed and ended up with two singles. While we managed to push them together, it was not ideal. The amenities left much to be desired; there was a kettle with tea but no coffee options. A Nespresso machine would have been a simple enhancement that could easily elevate the experience. The beds felt worn out, and having only one pillow made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. The bathroom was adequate, though the shower was quite cramped. After our first day out, we returned to find our room had not been cleaned. It was only on the second day that it was attended to, but to our disappointment, none of the toiletries were replenished. The size of the shampoo and body wash was notably small—about a third of the usual mini hotel products—and the soap was a tiny puck that barely lathered. Breakfast was another area

I can really recommend Hotel Roma. The location was perfect and so was the whole staff. Our only downside was that the rolling blinds would not go up later on (they did halfway at first) so we could not utilize the balcony. We did tell the staff and they offered us a nicer room but we had already gotten settled in and only had 1 night there.
