Amazing Stay in Bologna!

Art Hotel Commercianti was amazing all the way around for my wife and I's stay. From the moment we arrived we were taken care of in every way. The hotel staff was very helpful in giving us many outstanding recommendations for dinner and activities to do in and around Bologna. The location was wonderful right in the heart of the main piazza across from a beautiful medieval church, walking distance to lots of restaurants and shopping in a bustling area. The breakfast was also wonderful and had something for everyone with great coffee service as well. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough!

Historic perfection, modern comforts

What’s not to like. Amazing location, historic building but restored and updated with the things that matter (good mattress, heating, bathroom, plug points, polished wood floors). The breakfast is amazing, the staff so kind and helpful. My flight was delayed 4 hours and even though they don’t have a full kitchen they sent packed sandwiches and wine to my room for my arrival and didn’t even charge. Cannot recommend more

The service was exceptional and the location perfect! Located in the action of old town but very quiet.

Two small things. One was the massive tv (the size of the king size bed) positioned on a platform at the end of the bed. I kept bumping into it at night, also it blocked out the rest of the room . Also did not like packages of instant coffee. I expected better at a great hotel in Italy

Outstanding location in center of town. Quiet side street with limited traffic. Beautiful breakfast with hard-working attentive staff. Exquisite art hotel with unique historical rooms with motifs. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom with good water pressure. Elegant decor with inviting common areas to lounge.

Great location in the heart of Bologna

Excellent location in a charming, historic building 1 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore and adjacent to the cathedral. 5 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops in the Quadrilatero; supermarket close by. My single room was small as expected but comfortable. Good breakfast buffet.

Wonderfully quiet given central location. Very comfortable bed and well designed bathroom. Housekeeping staff excellent.

Large ugly TV that dominated the room. Totally unnecessary. Either blaze of lights or very dim in room. Reception staff efficient but not very warm or welcoming. Breakfast uninspiring and baked goods very dry.

Location, Location, Location

This property is located in the middle of everything with easy access to walk around the town. Staff are friendly and the accommodations are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent and their selection of fresh pastries, different each day, are the delicious. Coupled with the freshly made to order coffees, breakfast here is a real treat.

Comfortable stay, well appointed and very clean.

The property was perfectly situated, spacious and very comfortable. The less than one minute walk to the main hotel entrance was not a problem at all. Pleasant staff, lovely dining area for breakfast with plenty of choice.

The annex apartment room number 406 bore little resemblance to the photographs. There was no view from any of the rooms and no balcony. Would have scored excellent otherwise.

One of the best hotels i ever stayed at, not even a minute away from the central square, breakfast beyond perfect, the staff so polite and helpful, each room a work of art, totally recommend it, we are planning to visit again as soon as possible!

Great Hotel and Great Staff

This hotel was unbelievable. Gorgeous, huge. Jam-packed with amenities and the staff was ultra attentive!! The breakfast was unbelievable. So many amazing choices and made to order cappuccinos.

A good hostelry in the centre of an old city

The location, right in the heart of the city, was quite tricky to find on your own in a rental car as it involves going into a pedestrian area and GPS was not so accurate. The hotel reception talked us to a point and then came to guide us personally. We managed to obtain a secure park in the hotel for our stay - book early. A good breakfast selection was provided in the dining room. With so many restaurants in Bologna one was spoilt for choice for lunch and dinner. The room was quite small, as we expect in the middle of an historic town, but well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Fabulous hotel & friendly staff in perfect location.

Location perfect. Bologna is a beautiful walkable city with lots of restaurants, historic places to visit, & great shopping. Room & bed comfortable & kept very clean, air conditioning & blackout blinds for restful sleep. Lots of choice at breakfast. Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Would recommend.

Loved our stay and would recommend to anyone

Amazing location! So close to everything. It was great to stay somewhere so close but yet felt like an oasis after a long day of sight seeing. The reception were so helpful and all communications leading up to our stay was fantastic and very clear. The breakfast was also great and was a pleasant surprise for the variety on offer.

Splendid stay!

The Hotel is beautiful, clean and located right in the centre of Piazza Maggiore. Breakfast is amazing - more like Brunch - the food was of great quality and so much to choose from. Just perfect. Single room was ample for a solo traveller. Will def return.
