Mediocre for the price.

Nice potential but terribly managed and badly maintained. The staff have a ready smile and do the best they can within the rules stipulated by management. Happy hour.

It is trying to be too many things and has different accommodation options all overpriced and none done well... Family friendly rooms without the kids club. Romantic and exclusive cabanas but they let in day guests to sit in front of your cabana. Cheap backpackers section but high-end restaurant prices. Curtains let in light on the room. Cockroach. DJ music can be heard across the resort in the evening. Too many rules eg told to get off the deck chairs at 4pm to make room for BBQ dinner without being given alternative seating. Schnitzel available at lunch not available in the evening for kids. Beer bucket available at one bar and not another. Not allowed to use the kayak because of the weather notwithstanding swimming out to the same area and lifejackets available Etc etc Bad 90s nightclub music in the evening rather than chilled cafe del mar or why not just the sound of the ocean! Too far from where the sealife is, further along the coast closer to coral would be better located for seeing fish. They let in day guests removing the exclusivity and the prices are not justified. Better eye on sustainability. Plastic straws. No mangoe or banana for breakfast but has Cantaloupe melon. Dated breakfast options. Egg station only has omlette, or scrambled. No other station. Coffee queues and quality of coffee machine more suitable to family resort. We had to change room twice because of smell of sewage and being located close to the air-purifier of the restaurant and were not compensated for moving from 2 rooms into one room. Badly designed bathroom with the door banging against the toilet. Transport into town is 4 times a day and need to be booked the day b4, no fixed pickup point for return.

The location was stunning The view was amazing

The service was very poor. The staff were reactive not pro active. At breakfast there were tea pots but only enough hot water for one or 2 pots. This meant there was no hot water often. There were onky 2 coffee machines which were very slow

Great however inspect your room and bed thoroughly.

I enjoyed the food, pool and how every activity you wanted to do was basically at your doorstep.

I left the property with bites, upon emptying my utility bag I noticed a bed bug. I now have to cautiously clean my items before checking into my next hotel. It’s disappointing because the first room I stayed in was great. Unfortunately I’m not ridden with bug bites. :/

Picturesque beach, okay hotel

Pool and beach were breathtaking. Taxi and shuttle service were helpful. Reception and baggage staff were lovely. Great choice at breakfast. Hotel aesthetics are picturesque

Lunch services were poor. Staff and time taken to get food and be served. Be aware of power outages throughout the island. "Beach Room view" was poor and not as advertised. Trees and building blocking the view. And a lot of steps to climb!

You get what you pay for!

The beach is beautiful

Room was dirty poorly maintained, bed sheets were stained, sofa was stained and dirty, balcony door didn't close properly. Poor selection for breakfast. No loungers on thr actual beach only around the pool areas, going to the main strech in town had very limited options as the free shuttle only went 3 times a day same for pick up otherwise you had to get a taxi evrytime. I actually left the hotel and went next door which was much better and used the facilities of this hotel.

Beautiful pools and nice resort

Room was disappointing. Really small, bad smell in the bathroom. Not comfortable. Staff weren’t too nice either. Expensive for the service we’ve got.

One of the best

The location on the shark bay was amazing. One of the best bays on the island. There are sea turtles, a variety of fish and coral. Good snorkeling. There is a restaurant on the beach and a luxurious pool right on the water. Free kayak and SUP for an hour. The room is very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the bay. Includes a comfortable seating area. .

Lots of stairs to go up and down. We were given a location in the farthest building and on the top floor. If we had been on a lower floor it would have been better. The restaurant is reasonable but expensive. The massage is very expensive compared to the town. The sink is not in the bathroom but in the bedroom, which is a bit strange and disturbing. The breakfast is reasonable minus. Not varied but nutritious. But all of these are definitely bearable.

Average at best!

I liked the location.

Housekeeping was not good. No fresh towels were provided on a one day. The amenities were not refilled despite me leaving the container open. Overall the stay was mediocre . I didn't think it was good value for money especially by Thai standards.

Good from far but far from good.

The property is beautiful on the outside, but still needs more love and care, some things falling apart.

The rooms were disgusting and not nice at all, photos are very deceiving, mould in showers and around sinks, horrible patch repairs, definitely not comfortable or worth the money. We had to move rooms 3 times! The first room had lots of noise pollution from their AC for restaurant and wasn’t cleaned, then the second room still wasn’t cleaned and smelled like sewage and one of their staff was trying to get into our room at 11pm that night! That scared us and was unacceptable, so they upgraded us to a better view room but the room was still very disgusting, not cleaned good. I would never pay to come back here.

Beautiful location with a free shuttle option into town, which was very helpful. Amazing snorkelling opportunities on your doorstep.

Was told “it happens” after the worst night of my vacation and nothing working!

The hotel and beach are amazing and the giant turtles in the afternoon are simply magical.

The AC didn’t work, the shower drain was blocked, the room title ocean view was misleading, the power cut out during the middle of the night and we had to change rooms leaving all our luggage and getting wet in the rain. No umbrellas so we could get to the restaurant for breakfast. No refund and no upgrade!

Staff are helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel are peaceful and private. They have Shutter bus to the Saree Beach and Pier serve for their Clients. The Facilities are good.

An excellent breakaway with stunning views

Our stay was lovely and the location is excellent. We had one particular waiter, Alex, who was exceptional and took such good care of us. The breakfast is delicious with a vast array of choices.

We did feel that there were not enough waiters around during the day and while we were at the pool. It took a while to attract the attention of a waiter (when Alex was not there) and then the drinks took an extremely long time to be made.

It’s definitely not your moneys worth

I would honestly say it’s most probably the worse place I stayed it’s a lovely location beach wise, but the rooms smell like sewages, staff was rude when I was sitting by the beach which is included in the hotel because I didn’t order anything I was asked to move, they are doing work on the hotel which you would be woken up at 8:30 in morning cause of the noise

Everything was great starting with breakfast through to the evening meal, the staff were very cheerful and helpful. The beach was cleaned everyday, the view from my room across the bay was fabulous.

Very nice!

Very Friendly staff. The pools, the beach and the amazing wiev. Our room was at the top floor, felt like a tree house in the jungle wich was amazing even though there was a Climb of 123 steps down and up to the beach. Breakfast was good.

They had two restaurant , one of them was closed. The big restaurant (where the breakfast was served) was rather poor and pricey.

an ok stay given the circumstances

the beauty of the beach and pool area, modern and cozy rooms at the Beach Club

like many properties post covid, it has suffered from 2 years of no maintenance so now they have to re-do everything new. the food was not great, especially breakfast. The hotel allows now (for a fee) outside guests so the beach which used to be used by guests only, is now packed with people. a great pity. this was my 4th time and i have experienced a drop in quality

We arrived at the property to celebrate our honeymoon, we were really disappointed with the service throughout our stay. The facilities were not as described via booking.com and the images were very outdated, we would never have stayed or paid the money for this hotel if we had known the true picture of what it was like. Upon arrival, the staff members could not find our booking reservation and we were kept waiting for 40 minutes before actually being told that we had a room as they told us that they had overbooked. We had to wait until 2pm then for check in (understandably). When we got to our room, we were really disappointed. I have bad mobility problems and the amount of stairs that we had to climb was so strenuous and exhausting, the hotel were not accommodating at all and we were told this is the only room avaliable. The room was very very hot and the air con unit on the first night leaked water and blew up and we had to turn off at 3am in the morning and were left very very hot. The staff then fixed the AC unit but it was still unbearably hot in the room throughout the stay. We also had no hot water in our shower in the room. The water from the taps was yellow and dirty and we had to use normal bottled water to brush our teeth and wash ourselves. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows provided were terrible and gave us a very bad back and neck ache. It was more comfortable to sleep outside on the balcony and a lot cooler too. We told the staff about the problems we were having on 3 occasions and they failed to do anything about this. They then sent out an engineer on the fourth occasion only after we got very annoyed at the situation and the staff accused us of lying. The engineer came out and agreed that there was a problem. The hotel premises are severely run down and can see that the pandemic has affected the hotel and the rating. Two of the pools were unkempt, dirty and out of use.

Extremely good value for money. Room was spacious and clean. Food was pretty good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, great service, gave a contact for motorcycle rentals. Nice pools and private beach. Free shuttles to and from the pier

No bidets in the bathroom. Lots of stairs and a bit of a walk to get to the rooms, especially if your room is far away from reception or the restaurant, which is not really wheelchair-/PWD-friendly.

The beach is lovely - Shark Bay is a gorgeous place to snorkel, and the water is so clear!

In general, pretty underwhelmed by the property. The resort has two sides I believe - the 3-star accommodation (that we had booked into) and the more upmarket side of the property. Upon check-in, there wasn't much description given about the property layout/facilities, so we were a little lost on where the pool/s were located, any restaurants, etc. We were told snorkel equipment could be rented from the beach bar, but still not sure where that was. The breakfast/all-day dining restaurant was really quiet and silent. Same for the Italian poolside bar - no music, and it just all felt very strange/silent - no atmosphere at all. Breakfast was average. Service was average. Our room was on the top floor of the accommodation block - be prepared for plenty of stairs when you stay! The first night we had no water. We went out for dinner, and when we returned, the bathroom was covered in dirty water/soiled, I guess from when the water was turned back on. The movable shower head didn't work/stay up, so to shower, you needed to hold the shower hose by hand (this was fixed the next day once we'd reported it). The rooms are very tired and rundown - all needs a little TLC in general. Towels and linens were well-worn and fraying but clean.

It was like a dream

It was our honey moon and the hotel surprised us with an amazing room, much better than expected. The views are amazing, and since it is in a very quiet area it makes it even more special. The staff was amazing and very helpful at all times. Breakfast was AMAZING. The pool is beautiful and literally next to the sea.

The only setback of the room was how high up it was. I wish it had a different entrance for that area. But it was a 5-10 stair walk up/down.

Paradise getaway.

Amazingly beautiful, staff are incredibly kind and food is delicious. Haadtien is truely a paradise getaway! Free taxi service to and from the main town is provided saving a lot of money as taxis are expensive here.

The food menu’s incur a 10% and 7% surcharges which is not common in Thailand. As a result food and drink is quite expensive.
