The room (Jungle Hut) was great. The view was breathtaking. Each hut has a secluded outdoor bathroom, which is an experience of it's own.
From the resort you can walk down to the bay where you can snorkel. Set is supplied by the resort. The moment we entered the water we spotted a young black tip shark. We have also seen turtles while snorkelling.
Breakfast was included and very good and very complete. The restaurant serves good meals for a good price which you can enjoy with a tremendous view.
We also did some extra's like yoga and an ice bath. You have to pay for those, but for a good price.
You can rent a scooter that will be dropped of and collected at the resort. It's very handy to rent one.

View from the terrace and rooms was amazing, private access to beach was nice, relaxing spot to spend a couple of nights!
A little way from activities, so need to rent a moped or get taxis.

The location! The view! It’s a great place to stay and relax. The view from the restaurant and private beach access are stellar! Staff is very kind and attentive.
It’s a bit off the town centre so if you’re looking to go to town often I’d avoid picking this place. Since I had to go to town often for Scuba diving it was a bit inconvenient for me.
And the bathroom water access is a bit limited the shower has no pressure.. got inconvenient when the water stopped during shower.

The food, staff, views, snorkeling, classes and glamping experience were all excellent.
Well, there are a lot of stairs but they do warn you about that when you make your booking.

It was a very beautiful remote location with great access to snorkeling and wonderful nature.
You had to catch a taxi to do anything off the property and the stairs were exhausting if you stay in the tents.

Beautiful views, excellent snorkling
Very isolated, without transport you are stuck with no choices for food or going anywhere. Lots of mosquitoes and worst of all, lots of construction, so no peace or quiet.

The breakfast every option was good. The snorkelling was complete heaven, the views blew my mind, the grounds are just gorgeous. The activities and the yoga room a dream. The instructors heartfelt and brilliant.
I didn't mind these things: But many people who do the glamping may not be keen on all the steps but I liked the fitness and the journey was beautiful. And the place is remote and on a step hill but worth just staying there as it is heaven. A taxi to the busy area is only 7 minutes.

The resort was very serene and relaxing. The bathroom outside of the bungalow was lovely and tranquil , and the ice bath activity was an amazing experience, the leaders of the activity were amazing!!! The restaurant also was really good, we loved the smoothies and food and it had a nice range of things.
The location probably wasnt the best pick for us as we liked to see the island so we had to get taxis. A few issues we had with the resort are they didn’t refill our water when the sheets were changed, the beach was rocky and dangerous which lead to multiple scars over our body which is ridiculous for a resorts beach. The staff weren’t always welcoming and friendly towards us which we overall felt had a huge impact in our stay.

An absolute gem of a find….this was the perfect place to relax with astounding views from our beautiful room. The resort more than exceeded our expectations. A tranquil little paradise that we didn’t want to leave.
Nothing to comment on, everything was perfect!

This is HEAVEN- do not think twice and do yourself the favour of enjoying this gem in the middle of the island. Food (breakfast and dinner) is extremely delicious and relatively cheap, plus you get to practise yoga for just 100TBH in a uniqu setting. The bungalows, the view, the reef and the overal settimg makes is one of the most incredible place i ve been to. I would totally come back to atay a whole week!
Stairs and mosquitos, but that’s beyond property’s control

Our 5 day stay at Baan Talay was perfect and we hope to return for a longer time. The resort is very well organised, with helpful, friendly staff, exceptional views, a peaceful atmosphere and healthy, very tasty food. There are a lot of food and drink options for vegetarians, vegans (and thus halal food). To get to the sea you need a reasonable level of fitness and health - I am severely disabled and made it down and up once a day just in my own pace (hard but rewarding). The reef at the resort is beautiful - many types of huge coral. We really appreciated that Baan Talay is nestled into nature, from the sea you hardly see any of the buildings. Likewise, the availability of drinking water and water bottle has perfected our time there.

Beautiful place, very quiet and charming, great food, the most amazing place to snorkel and the yoga was fantastic.

Tent and outdoor bathroom was amazing with spectacular views. Snorkelling gear is free and there is great snorkelling off the beach at the bottom of the cliff. Food was delicious and great layout/ views at the restaurant. Definitely recommend this place.
Lots (200+) of steps up and down between my accommodation and the restauant/ reception. Issues over paying - card machine was not working and it was left up to us to find a solution. Staff are friendly but often seemed distracted. Taxi was arranged by resort for early morning dive excursion and did not turn up, fortunately I had an alternative driver who came at short notice.

had the most perfect stay in the AC tent with views to die for. The yoga sessions were great the teachers was amazing and learnt a lot. don’t miss the ice bath session really great and the team as so supportive.
if u don’t like steps then I would avoid the camping but I really enjoyed my stay.

The view and surroundings are incredible. Truly beautiful! Great place for snorkeling, even though its a bit tricky to enter the water.
The property has dogs that happily sits with you in the restaurant, they are so sweet!
Sadly, the room was poorly cleaned when we arrived. But the staff cleaned it again when we asked. Then a gecko decided it was a good idea to poop on the middle of the bed, so we had to ask for new bedding.
The bed was unfortunately way too hard for both me and my husband, not great for my back problems.
Lastly i have to say that the sunbeds by the water was very run down and broken.

Loved the views - spectacular. The pier down to the sea to snorkel was incredible. Beautiful fish at your feet and if you swim to the beach you will see small reef shark - incredible experience. The breakfast was the best EVER !! AMAZING accommodation.
Will miss the dogs Latte and Mocha - so cute :)
The restaurant on site is very reasonable price and the quality of food is so fresh and delicious. Staff very attentive.
If you need a taxi please call Mr Ko - he has motorcycles for rent and air conditioning taxi - he lives on the same hill as resort. He's such a reliable friendly man and very good value :)

The resort looks really nice and the room we were staying in had a balcony that I will probably never forget in my entire life. Exceptional. Apart from that, the resort looked either a bit run down or that was the idea to integrate it into nature. We weren't sure. The resort had a small beach that belonged to it, which was nice, but again looked like none had check on it in a while. We also did not see any cushions to put on the sun loungers.
When it came to food I always had the impression that they tried to give you less for a lot of money. We ate lunch there once, which was OK. And we had breakfast every morning. Which was lovely on their terrace, but it would have been nice to have a small buffet, rather that having to commit to one thing of the menu. The last day they did not have coffee. Furthermore we were surprised that they did not offer a shuttle to the port.

Beautiful stay and location
The yoga class was cancelled due to the instructor being sick but we weren’t told

A very beautiful quiet place ! Perfect for resting. And the corral reef around is very nice too. A very good adress.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and peace and quiet of this place. The room, yoga studio and views were stunning and I loved the walk down to the private beach area (great workout too). Breakfast and food was excellent. Lovely staff and dogs. Appreciated the thoughtful details, like candles and mosquito spray on the balcony and books on the bedside table.
Although a quiet retreat was what I was looking for, I wish I would've known that there was currently (?) no shuttle service, prior to checking in. So I ended up having to spend quite a lot of money on taxis (300 baht 1 way), even when going to their dive centre. Scooter is recommended. The beach is rather a pier + stairs leading into the water surrounded by big rocks. I personally loved it, but not particularly suitable for kids or less confident swimmers. When the water was choppy it was scary to get in as you had to navigate around the rocks while the waves came crashing against them

Everything… extremely comfy rooms, showering under the stars, the no-plastic-bottle policy, the lush jungle views, the frogs and geckos, the fact that they preserve nature as much as they can. This place is different!

the view from the balcony are amazing, the breakfast was good, the shower doesn’t have a roof! it’s bit cold showers in the night or when it raining, but it’s a cool experience for me.
can do the snorkeling in the hotel, they do have few free activity can do in the hotel, I don’t really need to go out.
the room wasn’t clean, I do understand have so many insects in that environment, so I don’t mind, it just the fan and AC looks like no one clean it at all, with a lots of dust on it

The setting and views were wonderful. Room was delightful. Proximity to great snorkeling was excellent. Western food was very good.
The use of plastic, especially plastic bottles in the room. given the emphasis on nature and the fact that plastic is such a pollutant to the sea down below, we would like to see Baan Talay start reusable glass bottles in the rooms and encourage use of reusable bottles by guests.

Amazing place close to nature and the ocean. We had such an wonderful week and after having spent 7 weeks in Thailand, at this place we had the most fun. Right outside was the most beautiful coral reefs here we saw many fish, shark and a turtle. We could also swim to a nice sandy beach very close by, and eat lunch at the restaurant by the sea front and have great snorkeling. We travelled with our 4 kids and they loved it very much. Kids also did a freediving course with the owner Dev, that was a wonderful experience for them.
The free yoga classes every morning had very high standard and was truly inspiring – the Shala is right by the ocean overlooking forest and the sea.
The ice bath organized by Baan Talay was really fun to – so happy we got to try that. Inspiering for both body and mind!
We slept in the tents and could fall alseep to the sounds of the tropical forest and wake up every morning to the ocean sound, very comfy beds and showers with hot and nice water.
Food has high class and moderate prices. Home baked bread and cakes that was absolutely delicious! The Baan Talay home made tea was fantastic. It was such a relief to come to a resort that did not have plastic straws and plastic bottles. The restaurant was on a big terrace overlooking the ocean – very Instagram friendly : )
We also did a scuba dive with Ban Talays diving center (New Haven) - an incredible experience and experienced staff. Our kids dove with Maggie - it felt completely safe at all stages and kids had so much fun with her.
Thank you Dev and staff for a wonderful week at Baan Talay with so many lovely experiences. We will really try to come back next year.
We liked everything about the resort!

Our house at Baan Talay Resort was beautiful! We had everything that we needed. The view from the house was just spectacular! 😊 It was surrounded by trees and had a comfy space on the balcony with sea view.
We really appreciated no plastic bottles policy in the resort.
Additionally there is wonderful yoga space there - well equipped and again with stunning view. ❤️
You can go directly from the resort to the ocean that is amazing for snorkeling - so many colourful fish. 😊
Restaurant had fresh and delicious food. We enjoyed every meal and shake.
Staff was really helpful and supportive.
We would definitely go back there. It was our favourite place on the island!
If you like nature & yoga, you will love it!
Bed was pretty hard, so it could be more comfy.
There are many stairs in the resort. For us it was good, but for some people it could be challenging.

perfect view and vibe at the cafe, tasty food and dessert (very long wait), private entrance to the sea (fish, coral)
low service-minded of some staff, mosquito/insect, *gecko in the room*

I really enjoyed the stay. Really beautiful place with the view and sound of the waves. The bungalow is quite nice. I loved the open-air bathroom! Very good food. Amazing yoga classes in the morning! <3 Nice staff.
There is no cleaning service at all. It would be really nice if someone could at least empty the trash bin and ashtray on the balcony and refill toilet paper. In my opinion, the pillows were too big and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, there was no sea view from our bungalow.

Stunning Views, nature yoga vibes, open spaces in coffee shop and restaurant, Stunning shores for snorkeling. Character and style of room.
Owners are very friendly and welcoming, more than the staff!
A rat came to one of the basic bungalows and I got a free upgrade!
Staff were a bit slow, and not so accommodating.
