Lovely, really enjoyed our stay!

We stayed for four nights as a couple in February and had a great time. It is VERY hilly to get to, but once you are at the resort it is lovely! Snorkelling in the bay is amazing, loads of coral and fish, we even saw a giant turtle! The beach is very relaxing and the food and staff at the beach bar are excellent. Breakfast was also very good! The girls at the reception are very friendly and helpful and speak English. There is a shuttle service to/from the pier from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this resort.

The hill. We hired a scooter for 24 hours but returned it 5 hours later, just not worth the risk. If you are very experienced then yes get one, but be very careful!

The location is fantastic absolute mesmerising and beautiful private beach quiet no crowd nice stuff. The rooms were very clean and tidy everything beautiful. Underwater marine life is amazing we saw a lot of beautiful coral and baby sharks and a lot of beautiful colourful fish amazing clean water. It feels private beach no crowds nicest stuff. The breakfast is amazing and delicious. So many different option for the breakfast.

Restaurant for dinner, oh my God ! It’s a joke ! As it is quite remote location there is no any other restaurant so you have to eat in the Resort restaurant and the food is terrible. It is unbearable. The service is rubbish. I tried 5 different food. And the chef and the team of the Kitchen they manage Agha successfully to disappoint me each time.

Fantastic resort with private beach onto an unforgettable snorkeling location and sea view

We chose this particular resort for its private beach and especially the snorkeling reef in order to explore the coral reef daily in peace and at our rhythm. In other words, the Sai Daeng Bay was ideal to snorkel at your ease and by yourself. In addition, we were lucky to see a baby shark during our first dive as well as species that we didn't see during our full day premium snorkeling tour. Our double bungalow was located pretty close to the beach and was functional. As we previously stayed in another resort in Saidee Bay, we didn't need to leave Coral view and had all our meals there. The kitchen staff was very friendly and dedicated as well as the reception desk ladies. The food was delicious and the sea view was just fantastic from any standpoint of the resort. Besides snorkeling, it was really relaxing to read and gaze at the wonderful scenery unfolding in front of our eyes as well as let ourselves be cradled by the waves while lying on our sun beds.

My wife had an issue with her snorkeling gear and borrowed some at the reception. As it was dirty, she decided not to use it at all. Moreover, there was no plug in the bathroom. Even though the light in front of the bathroom didn't work and the hanger in the bathroom was loose, the reception ladies had them fixed promptly. For bold divers, please beware of some current located on the left hand side of the boulder at the far East side of the bay.

A perfect place for a peaceful getaway.

It is a perfect getaway spot. Calm, beautiful beach and far from the traffic and fuzz of the village. All around snorkling spots, where even sharks and sea turtles come for a visit. The bay has a diving shop, where we rented a long boat to take us to all the best snorkling spots (recommend). I have to specially mention the kindness of the staff at the beach bar/restaurant. Very good food, the best cocktails and a perfect view.

Perfect location, wonderful staff, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I wish I could live at Coral View! We stayed in a Hillside Hut - the bed was comfy (I don't know what kind of cotton the bedding was made of but it was so soft!), it had aircon, and an ensuite bathroom. What more could you want? Well, the view was also fantastic! It was mostly of the trees, but so tropical and heavenly. Walking through the trees to get to the beach, there were butterflies everywhere! The view from the breakfast spot is incredibly beautiful and serene. The beach bar and restaurant is ideally located with, would you know, ANOTHER incredible view! The food was good, the drinks were good (I had a pina colada EVERYDAY!) You can snorkel straight off the beach, but as it's mostly coral, I would recommend taking water shoes. And the snorkelling is fantastic! Aside from the many, many, many colourful fish (enormous, tiny and every size in between), we also saw black tipped reef sharks and turtles. The reception team were so wonderful, the staff in all spaces were friendly and so helpful. If you're hoping for a 5-star luxury resort, this is not it. The facilities are simple, but I would pick this over anything else any day! I'm already planning our next trip back to Coral View!

There were things that would have improved our experience: a glass to drink water from in our room, a bin in the room (not just in the bathroom), much better towels and beach covers for the sun beds (they were threadbare and tatty) also the quality of food in the restaurant wasn’t great.

This isn't a negative for me, but just want to mention for first-timers on a scooter, it's a steep decline to the accommodation/beach. Just be safe. Take your time. ;)

nice short stay

This is a 3 star hotel on a 5 star private beach with great snorkeling. We truly enjoyed ourselves for a couple days here. We scootered around to various restuarants. Great place to relax.

Fantastic location for peaceful days of relaxing by the beach and swimming/snorkeling/diving. Great restaurant/bar right by the beach. Staff is very friendly and likeable. CV diving school on the beach perfect for not diving in a crowd. breakfast was good! room (chalet) clean and beds comfortable.

shower is unavoidably wetting bathroom floor (chalet room). another shelf/rack in the room for putting clothing or luggage would be nice. portion size in the restaurant should be a little larger. more no-meat options for breakfast would be good! if you want to be in and out multiple times a day to explore the island, it’s inconvenient because it’s not easily accessible by scooter (but if you just want some days of rest and just sometimes take their shuttle - it’s perfect!) just a heads up: you have to be able to climb some stairs.

everything feels too crowded. the rooms are dark, and what bothered me the most - its clear the staff is overworked, no one smiles evn though they are super (even unnaturally) polite. the road to the place is really steep, its not easy to ride a scooter even for an experienced motobiker

Our room (by the beach) was quite dark and with a bad smell of damp. There were no mosquito nets, which was uncomfortable as we had some insects in the room, which is of course difficult to avoid as the room is basically in the jungle.

Perfect location, you can snorkel right from the beach. Very nice view from breakfast restaurant. In family rooms beds are comftable and soft. Hillside cabins are also ok. Great taxi service. They have also diving club right on the beach.

It's on the hill, so if you have dificultys to walk, it can be quite challenge.

If you want a nice holiday in remote location - come here!

Nice and remote location (but have in mind, that if you want to go to the nearest city, you have to rent a scooter, take a taxi or climb up a really steep hill). Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice beach and good diving school in the hotels territory. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Extra thanks goes to Naing, who always helped with shuttle services either from or back to hotel!

Breakfast is where they could improve. Also, the staff at the restaurant should not forget that there are customers by the tables. The frogs in the night after the rain were super noisy, but oh well, that’s a part of a nature :)) just have earplugs in case.

Superb

Coral view is an excellent place to stay. Here is quiet and you feel relaxed sitting on the sunbeds or at the restaurant enjoying the view and a drink at sunset. The breakfast buffet is fine and served at a elevated area with a great view over the beach. The restaurant i placed right at the beach with a fantastic view over the beach and Shark island. The food served at the restaurant is mediocre but the staff is excellent and very caring but not always too attentive.

beautiful resort in a remote location

The rooms for cabins were well built and spacious, it was very clean, the staff were very friendly and the view and the beach was stunning. Breakfast was basic but did the job and the shuttle was great getting too and from the pier. With a scooter, the location was in a great spot on the island to drive to some great beaches! also the snorkelling was great!

Our only issue would be that the road down to the resort is extremely steep…it’s almost vertical! as a couple in our late 20s we chose to walk out of the resort on the first night and really REALLY struggled, we then chose to hire a scooter which only one of us could get up the hill on as it was so steep… if you’re looking for a lovely remote location, this is perfect but if you’re looking for somewhere where you can walk to restaurants etc in the evening, this is not the place. saying that we loved the resort so much we extended an extra night :)

We loved it! Great quality/price value. The beach is fabulous, the staff (all of them, reception, Restaurant, shuttle driver) are lovely and helpful. The food at the restaurant is very nice (fell in love with the spicy soups). The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Plus, great dive center on the spot with nice (and patient!) instructors.

The road to the hotel is pretty steep, but if you rent a scooter and are a good driver, is not a problem.

I loved this hotel, as it was right on the beach which was absolutely perfect for me and my girlfriend. It also had a diving centre which was also very convenient as we wanted to learn how to scuba dive. The staff at the hotel were or polite professional and friendly. And we had a great stay and will definitely be returning at some stage in the future.

The only downfall to this hotel is the location as it is literally on a hill. You have to either book a taxi or take a shuttle bus back into the centre which is around 10 to 15-minute Drive nothing was really walking distance.

Super quiet location with lovely little beach. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good. we always rent a scooter so only 5 -10 minutes to area with restaurants etc. if you’re walking probably a bit too far to go every day. Would highly recommend.
