We very rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, we were really disappointed with our stay at the Seashell Resort. The property itself has a very unfinished feel and, in many areas, looks more like a building site than a finished resort. There appeared to be ongoing construction and maintenance work throughout the property, which took away from the overall experience. The Coconut bungalow itself was also disappointing. Despite being told at check in that we have been given an ‘upgrad’, the bedroom was extremely small, with no space to store clothes or belongings. The curtains had visible stains, as did the headboard. The bed was small and uncomfortable, and the bedding appeared old and stained. The bathroom needs significant updating. There was black mould around the sink, there was no hot water in the shower, and the shower flooded almost the entire bathroom when it was used. No hand towels or beach towels were provided either. One of our biggest issues was the noise early in the morning. At 7am on a Saturday, we were woken up by maintenance staff sweeping and strimming the grass and hedges directly outside our bungalow. The noise was extremely loud and completely disrupted our sleep. Maintenance work of this nature should really be carried out at a more appropriate time, particularly at the weekend, to avoid disturbing guests. We were also disappointed by the shuttle service. When we booked the accommodation, it was advertised as offering a free shuttle to and from the pier. However, when we asked if we could use the service to get to the pier at around midday, we were told that the shuttle only operates at 8:30am and 9am, meaning we had to arrange and pay for a taxi instead. We feel that these limited operating times should be made much clearer when booking. Unfortunately, we also found the staff to be quite unwelcoming and, at times, seemed unhappy to be there. This stood out to us particularly because we have been travelling around Thailand for a month and have generally experienced very friendly and welcoming service at the other properties we have stayed in. On a positive note, the pool area was nice and the location was very close to other restaurants and bars and the breakfast was quite good. We genuinely never leave bad reviews, but unfortunately, there were too many issues during our stay for us to recommend this property or choose to stay here again.

Highly recommend seashell resort! It was very clean, has nice amenities, the staff was very helpful and informative. Any time I had a question, they had answer. You cannot see the beech from the bungalows, but it’s a 1 minute walk.

The resort is in a great location but that is where it stops. - staff are impatient and often come across as rude. This was also the feeling from other guests. - I stayed in all rooms options and all room doors and windows do not seal which means that you will get eaten alive by mosquitos. My recommendation is to book this place only as a last resort.
