The AVA Resort Koh Tao

One of the best hotels/resorts across Koh Tao. Beautiful location. Stunning rooms. Amazing staff to help our every needs. Staff would respond to my Whatsapp messages within minutes, doing everything they could to help me and answer my questions. They helped us organise scooters, taxis and recommended laundry services. 15 minute walk to Sairee beach, giving it the perfect location. An amazing hotel and I cannot recommend this place enough. Will be telling my friends and family about this place

The location is very nice. Some of the rooms with two viewing directions (north facing) are exceptional. The setting is nice, and although it is a steep hike to reach the pier, a swim along the bay is worth every drop of sweat.

There is no restaurant, but there is one at the next hotel up the street (Kohato heritage hideaway). The AVA management should pay more attention to customer service and guest services.

We had the best welcome at the resort, they decorated the room so romantically. The room is very spacious, the bed is massive and the bathroom is big as well. We had a private terrace with incredible sunset view. The infinity pool provides an beautiful view as well. Every morning we heard the animal sounds (crickets and birds), which was lovely. It is close to the main beach and the taxi service they recommend is very reliable. There is a place next door with nice breakfast as well. We did not want to leave!

The bar could be a little more lively - currently it is mainly for coffees (and good breakfast delivery service). But if you are looking for a calm stay this is the place to be.

Reception staff were amazing, absolutely lovely. The room was ok

It’s not very nice not having any staff on site in the evening. We had no electric for 4 hours one night, so no air con either. We walked home one night, and a large group of youths were gathered outside the front of the hotel which wasn’t pleasant.
