Basic hotel

Location was good, a quick and easy 7 min walk in to the main area. They also sorted mopeds for us really quickly when we arrived. We got a free transfer from the pier on arrival which was great

This hotel is extremely basic and feels more like a budget hotel than the photos show. The room is ok and all over clean but the bathroom is not, it felt very old and run down plus as many have mentioned it’s designed poorly so you constantly have wet feet after any shower in the bathroom, not nice at all. The staff were nice and helpful but unprofessional, there was a lot of sitting around casually with feet up on their phones and they played everything out loud so it was not a calm and professional environment at all. They also do not have a card machine on site which for a new hotel I found really strange. The construction is out of their control but it is all day and starts at 8am, there is no escaping it and definitely no pleasant view from your room. All in all It was ok but I was glad we only stayed there for 2 nights and personally was not a room I looked forward to going back to each day. If you want something basic this is for you, if you’d like a little more comfort do not book it.

Great stay at Mar Ozo

Clean property, far away enough from the noise but a short walk away from restaurants, shops and the beach. Staff are super helpful and rooms are large with everything you need for your stay

Avoid - terrible noise insulation and rude staff

Rooms are spacious and everything is quite new. It’s basic but has everything you need.

Location: it’s meant to be the quieter part of town but it’s extremely noisy at night - a mix of loud bass from some nearby club, plus the huge issue that the walls in the hotel seem to amplify rather than dampen noise between the rooms. Slept with noise cancelling earphones every night and still struggled. There is also a construction site right next to the hotel (that all rooms / balconies overlook), so daytimes are also super noisy. The street you have to take to get here is incredibly busy and a nightmare to both walk and drive. Staff: seems like they could not care less - 3 women who work here barely looked up to greet guests, got annoyed whenever you asked a question. The worst part was that we kept feeling they were ripping us off. We rented a scooter and they said it was B250 for an old model and 300 for a new one, and that they only had one left for 300. After a day of driving on the island we realised the one they gave us was ancient (with dodgy brakes) and all the other scooters on the island were significantly newer. When we returned it, the receptionist acknowledged it was an old one, but still insisted we pay 300 and even went so far as to show us the cctv footage of us agreeing to the B300 price… also be aware that, contrary to what’s implied in the message you receive from the hotel after booking, the taxi back to the pier is NOT free, but they charge B300 for a car or B100 per person if it’s a shared transfer.

Overpriced for the experience - hotel is ok.

Good location and nice new hotel and clean

Staff were unprofessional and need hospitality training. They charged a ridiculous key deposit (500 baht) in the case the key was lost. I’d understand this if it were a physical key but since it was a key card the cost to replace is considerably less. It just feels like a cheap move to make more money - when actually I feel this is trying to market to a more premium customer and this behaviour is not premium at all.

Perfect Location - Exceptional Value!

The location of this resort is absolutely perfect - just a brief, pleasant stroll to both the pristine beach and vibrant walking street. Everything you need is within reach, including convenient laundry service nearby. We even added an extra night because we loved it so much. What truly impressed us were the immaculately clean, remarkably spacious, and wonderfully quiet rooms. Our pool-access accommodation was a particular highlight - offering that luxurious private-pool experience without the premium price tag. We actually came here after leaving a disappointing private villa in the hills that cost more than double what we paid here, and this place exceeded our expectations in every way! The beds deserve special mention - supremely comfortable with quality linens that ensured restful sleep after our adventures. This resort is ideal for travelers like us who enjoy exploring all day and returning to a pristine room featuring a spacious shower and a delightful balcony perfect for evening relaxation. While breakfast isn't included, this was absolutely no issue considering the fantastic location with numerous dining options just steps away. The staff were consistently attentive, friendly and helpful throughout our stay, adding to the overall exceptional experience. What a wonderful find - a new, tranquil, spotlessly clean resort with surprising value for money. We've already decided this will be our go-to accommodation for future visits to Samui. Highly recommended for discerning travelers!

I recommend this hotel! It’s brand new, super clean (which was really important to me), and just overall a great place to stay. It’s not right on the main street, but it’s only a short walk from everything and if you’ve got a scooter, it’s perfect! The girls who work at the hotel and even their taxi driver are the nicest!

The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with a really nice bathroom and very comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was always hot water available. I also appreciated the little details like water in the fridge and being well taken care of while waiting for the room to be ready. Overall, an excellent stay – highly recommended!

Hôtel beaucoup trop cher par rapport à la qualité proposée. La chambre ne correspond pas aux photos : grandes traces de peinture sur les murs et sur les portes, finitions très négligées. Nous avons également eu 2 jours sans eau ni électricité, sans avoir été prévenus à l’avance. On nous a d’abord dit que tout reviendrait à 16h, puis finalement à 18h. Quand on rentre de la plage et qu’on ne peut ni se doucher ni avoir d’électricité, c’est vraiment compliqué. La piscine est clairement plus jolie en photo qu’en réalité. Elle donne directement sur un bâtiment en construction juste à côté, avec du bruit, donc loin du cadre “reposant” vendu. L’hôtel est en plus légèrement excentré : il faut marcher environ 15 à 20 minutes pour rejoindre la plage, en passant par des zones souvent inondées, ce qui n’est ni agréable ni pratique. Globalement, grosse déception. Le rapport qualité/prix n’est vraiment pas au rendez-vous.

היה לי חסר כוסות במקלחת על מנת לשים את מברשת השיניים, מדף במקלחת כדי לשים סבונים וכו, כסא ע״י השולחן. אנחנו היינו בסוג של חדר פינתי, ולדעתי מאחורינו היה חדר האחזקה של המלון או משהו בסגנון, היה רעש בשעות מוקדמות של הבוקר…
