Our stay at Koh Tao Cabana was truly unforgettable from the very first moment. The resort has an incredibly peaceful and romantic atmosphere, surrounded by lush tropical greenery while still being right on the beautiful Sai Ree Beach – the perfect balance between privacy and convenience. The highlight for us was definitely the villas. They are spacious, beautifully designed in a traditional Thai style, and full of thoughtful details like open-air bathrooms and private terraces overlooking nature. It really feels like you’re staying in the middle of a jungle, but with all the comfort of a high-quality hotel. We also loved the food – both the breakfasts and the restaurant offerings were delicious, and the ocean view made every meal feel special. It’s the perfect place for slow mornings and romantic dinners at sunset. Overall, I would highly recommend Koh Tao Cabana to anyone looking for a unique mix of nature, tranquility, and authentic Thai atmosphere. It’s definitely a place you’ll want to come back to.

Koh Tao Cabana Hotel was an absolute amazing experience and we seriously can’t recommend it enough, especially for a honeymoon. We’re in our late 20s and it was the perfect mix of peaceful, romantic, and still close enough to everything. It’s about a five minute walk to Sairee Beach, which ended up being the ideal location for us. We weren’t in the middle of the nightlife, so it felt like our own little escape, but we could easily walk along the beach day and night to get to everything. From the moment we arrived, the service was so warm and welcoming. They really go above and beyond with the room setups, which felt super elevated and special. The rooms and bathrooms themselves were honestly jaw dropping. The pool and private beach area were beautiful and made it so easy to just relax and enjoy the property without needing to leave. We also did spa treatments there, which were amazing, and the restaurant on site was consistently really good. Such a special place and easily one of the highlights of our honeymoon.

The location is good, you can walk easily around. The bungalow is nice, but the bathroom would need refresh. The breakfast is good.

The hotel is very run down and management needs to be revamped. Location of the hotel is great at the end of Sairee beach with private beach area and nice rocky area with decks for snorkeling and watching the sunset, however the property needs some TLC which following our experience with the staffing, it is clear that the management is inadequate and poorly managed. We booked the Deluxe Cottage Ocean, we were assigned Villa 12 - THERE WAS BARELY ANY OCEAN VIEW - if you are booking this category ask from rooms 14, 15, 16 ONLY. Cottage 12 was literally beach and restaurant view, not really ocean view, after lots of back and forth the lady receptionist (only staff in the reception that is nice and helpful) helped to liaise with the reservations team, moved us to a lower category room and provided us some credit as compensation. The service at the hotel in general needs to improve in particular the reception, the male receptionists are not friendly AT ALL, surprised they are in the service industry, understand that they are not Thai but no efforts to ensure guest service was provided, asked them about the restaurant, was told literally go speak to them yourself as they don't know what's happening in their own property, there was no farewell while literally standing in the desk looking as we depart, not a single smile on their faces. The owner clearly doesn't care much about the property and does not invest in the staff nor facilities. I would absolutely NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY AT ALL. Go elsewhere, there are much better at cheaper pricing and better service elsewhere.
