Stay in the heart of Ypres and immerse yourself in the history of the First World War!

Extensive breakfast with fresh fried eggs and bacon, fresh yogurt and fresh fruit, delicious petit fours,... The lady of the house was very attentive to serve our wishes as good as possible and provided an excellent service with a personal touch. Location was excellent.

I cannot recall anything worth mentioning. I could mention that the property didn't have the facility to charge an electrical car. However, there were charging stations enough in the immediate neighborhood (walking distance).

Fantastic find in Ypres

Owner was very welcoming and flexible with check- in time. The hotel was beautifully dressed for Christmas which enhanced our enjoyment. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with an excellent and huge bathroom. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice.

Magnificent

This is a superb B&B in a beautiful building. Our big bedroom and bathroom had everything you could want. There was a great variety for breakfast and the breakfast room itself is gorgeous. It is a short walk to the In Flanders Fields Museum and Menin Gate and from the trains station. Veele is a very generous and caring host. Five stars all around.

The only thing to dislike is having to leave.

A small hotel just off of the main square, but, a hidden gem. The room was spacious and very well laid out with coffee machine as well as a kettle. The bathroom was a modern design and was a good use of the available space. Parking needs to be pre booked as limited availability, but only 4 rooms, ample enough.

Excellent hotel, Highly recommended

First class hotel, room finished to exceptionally high standard and was spotlessly clean. Bed very comfortable as were the pillows and hot , powerful shower and Japanese toilet! Lots of information available in reception, with many local restaurant's near by for evening meal. Breakfast was first class and catered for every taste. We could not fault this hotel and would stay here again with no hesitation. Added bonus of being able to book paring was very welcome.

From the moment we walked in the doors of St. Georges IV we were made to feel so incredibly welcome. Veerle is a lovely host and goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. I had been to Ypres once before 22 years ago and fell in love with it all over this time — in part because of our stay at St. Georges IV. You can’t beat the location. We stayed in The View room and it definitely lived up to its name — so special! There were so many thoughtful touches in our room and we appreciated every one of them. Thank you for making my return trip and my husband’s first time in Ypres so memorable. Will recommend this hotel to everyone we know travelling to Ypres. Thank you. ❤️

St-Georges IV is a great all around Ypres experience.

To summarize my experience: Great property, great staff, incredible location, and an all around positive memory. I would recommend the property to anyone traveling in the Flanders area.

The only negative was there not being any parking. I parked in the 24 hour public parking open area two blocks away and still got a parking ticket somehow.

We had the most wonderful stay at St George IV B&B in Ypres – it was simply magnificent. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the attention to detail, the elegant style, and the warm, welcoming energy that flows throughout the space. We stayed in The Closet room, which was beautifully designed with a stunning view. Every element had been thoughtfully considered – from the embroidered logo on the luxurious linens to the bedside USB points (such a helpful touch). It’s those small, subtle luxuries that really make a difference. Breakfast was a true highlight: an abundant and beautifully presented spread that catered to every preference. Vera, the owner, was exceptional – going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her passion, care, and dedication are woven into every corner of the B&B. This is not just a place to stay – it’s an experience. High-end, 5-star service and accommodation with soul. You can feel how much love and energy Vera pours into it, and it truly sets this B&B apart. Highly, highly recommended. We will absolutely return.

We had reserved parking so upon arrival the host opened the gate for us immediately. The room was enormous and very nicely decorated. And the breakfast was lovely.

The only negative point was the low pressure in the shower, but that’s a very minor detail.

Stylish B&B in updated property

Owner operated boutique B&B. Decorated in her unique style with love! Our room was very recently upgraded with modern lighting and A/C which we didn't need. We were able to park at the back of the property but spaces are limited and not guaranteed, public parking areas are available not far away. The hostess was very welcoming, meeting us on arrival and in the morning cooking eggs/ pancakes as required in a lovely breakfast room . A coffee machine was available to guests all day in the lounge next to the breakfast room. It's a lovely building, close to the centre, and lovingly cared for. Lift access to bedrooms!

Homely stay at a superbly appointed property!

This is one of the top three properties that we have stayed in Europe thus far! Simply amazing in terms of facilities, cleanliness, location and comfort. Special thanks to our host, Veerle, for her professional yet warm hospitality. We will book this property in a heartbeat every time we visit Ieper/Ypres, and will highly recommend everyone to choose the same. You will be at stone's throw from the cathedral, the city center, the museum, several good restaurants, but still, in a relatively quiet zone. If you come by train, as we did, it was a breeze to walk just about 10 minutes to reach this place. The room (we got "The View") was exceptionally spacious, with a high ceiling, and extremely well-appointed. The bathroom was generously stocked, boasting a Japanese-style toilet (with automatic bidet). The decor was really classy, yet providing all modern amenities in a cozy ambiance. There is a homely lounge area downstairs, with coffee/tea making facilities. We availed the breakfast during our stay, and Veerle was kind to make us wonderful eggs, pancakes and yogurt parfaits every morning. Overall, we had a wonderful time at this property!

Perfect Ypres Stay

The super welcoming owner, the beautiful building & decor which all added to the wow factor of this fabulous hotel. The most comfortable bed ever with lovely, cotton bedding & the ensuite bathroom was fabulous (Japanese toilet included!). Breakfast was so good, everything you could want was provided. It is also a perfect location for visiting Ypres. Would highly recommend.
