The location was good, near the Menin gate. The host was very friendly. We appreciated the insistence on no smoking in the room. Easy parking.

Great accomodation in central Ypres

Excellent location very close to centre of Ypres and the Menin gate. A comfortable room, comfortable bed and helpful host. David communicated with us in advance and was waiting for us as we arrived.

A minor thing that we knew about in advance: no secure bike parking. But the street was quiet and our bike was safe

Perfect overnighter with bed and tea/ coffee making facilities with bathroom off the room.

We stayed for one night on our way to Germany. The road was quiet, and the bed comfy. The host was fantastic and we would have loved to stay longer. If we return to Ypres in the future, we will book here!

The location is perfect: next to the Menenpoort and only a really short walk away from the Grote Markt. There are also a lot of restaurants around. Still it's a quite area. The room was even more spacious than expected as well as the bathroom. Also David is a great host and super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come again if we're in Ypern once more!

A fantastic stay!!

Really fantastic stay! The owner was lovely and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable with a high ceiling and big windows. The bathroom, especially the large bathtub, was greatly appreciated after being out in the cold wind and rain all day. We also liked being able to adjust the heat as we pleased. The bed was very large and great for a good night's sleep. There was lots of information about Ypres in the room as well. The location was superb.. A 2 minute walk to the Gate (do not miss the Last Post ceremony!) and the central square.

Geen ontbijt gezien

In de oude Houtmarkt quesrthouse in Ieper 1 nacht geslapen en dat doe ik nooit meer. De uitbater is een onbeschofte man met een kort lontje en de service is ruk en de kamer uit 1913. Ja de tv werkt niet sorry geen idee. Service? Ik heb geen ontbijt gezien bij deze houthakker. Of moet je dan Ieper in om te ontbijten . Volkomen ruk en niet naar toegaan ook geen parkeerruimte. Niet doen.

Wij komen hier ooit terug!

Het was een locatie zonder ontbijt, maar dat wisten we. De kamer en de badkamer waren naar verwachting en ok. We bevonden ons in het centrum van de stad en dat beviel ons prima.

Er viel niets tegen. Alles was in orde. De begeleiding bij aankomst kon moeilijk beter. Dus we waren tevreden om hier te mogen zijn!
