The staff throughout were friendly and very helpful. Room was spacious and clean. The bathroom and shower suited our needs. The Hotel throughout was clean. The bar was adequate and a good starting point for an evening out or a night cap upon return.

Good location for short stay but staff a bit "overstretched" as hotel was full!

Very pleasant staff. Felt they were a bit overwhelmed and understaffed as hotel was pretty full. Good location for Menin gate.

Booking made for a 3rd person in room but arrived and (sofa)bed had not been made up. I requested it on arrival. Someone came up with additional linen and made the bed up incorrectly so that it was 'sloping', she said she was new and someone else would come with pillows and 'correct' it (but they never did). Came back late in the evening and bed was still not fixed, so slept on it with at a tilt/slope. Pillows were uncomfortable, bit too firm. Wanted to use the air conditioner to cool the room down but tried the thermostat and only heating came out. Staff couldn't fix it, said they were experiencing difficulties and didn't know how to switch it over now that Autumn was coming.

Poor due to weird non-ensuite

The room was clean, the location good and the staff very nice

The en suite was not in its own room. I found this very odd. The sink was in the room and the toilet and shower in small cupboards very mirrored some with see through glass. It was horrible and very odd. I asked to swap rooms for one with a proper bathroom but no double rooms were available.

Very good hotel

We had a good sized room, which was clean and very comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel was very central, but quiet and free parking was just a short walk away.

In the room, we had no proper glasses or cups, only paper. The TV had very limited English language options.

You would do well to find a better value hotel in such a prime position

The hotel is perfectly positioned for easy reach of both the busy main square housing the Flanders Field museum and many bars and restaurants, and the Menin gate memorial in Ypres, while at the same time being far enough away to avoid the noise and bussle of the square. The room itself was spotless and well maintained and also very quiet.

We didn't eat in the hotel so I cannot comment on the food, and I can't think of anything else I didn't like.

Location just off the main square was a bonus but still quiet, parking round the back on the hotel on the road was good

Price of hotel was expensive for one night as was breakfast at 20 euros each . undergound parking was expensive at 25 euros per night

Family stay (with autistic daughter)

The hotel is central to everything in Ypres A 4 minute walk to the Menin Gate. Parking is next door to the hotel (€2 0900-1800, free outwith the timings). A member of staff stood out during our stay, Jasper. He was welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

My autistic daughter left her prized Princess Elia folk, which she used to eat everything with at the breakfast table. On discovering that it was missing and on questioning the kitchen staff, it appears that it was simply thrown away on clearing the tables. The excuse given s that they have lots of things left behind. That is a weak excuse. A personal item such as that is to be retained by the staff (front desk) until it is reclaimed. My daughter was extremely upset about it, and the last 24 hours of the stay was ruined for her by this blatant disregard for guest property.
